Julio Cort\u00e1zar es un escritor que siempre est\u00e1 buscando el otro lado de las cosas, a trav\u00e9s de pasajes \u2013 noci\u00f3n constantemente presente en su obra. Una manera de llegar a lo extra\u00f1o, a lo poco com\u00fan y conseguir un encuentro esencial consigo mismo, es caminar por la ciudad por la noche. El ambiente relevante pasa a su obra, donde por ejemplo, el lector sigue a Oliveira \u2013 personaje autobiogr\u00e1fico \u2013 en sus paseos nocturnos, los cuales se vuelven momentos de b\u00fasqueda profunda. A Cort\u00e1zar le preocupa la conexi\u00f3n y la comunicaci\u00f3n con el Otro, y siempre busca los puentes para intentarlo.<\/p>\n

Y como dice el mismo Cort\u00e1zar:<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cCuando pod\u00eda pasear por Buenos Aires, y cada vez que paseo aqu\u00ed por Par\u00eds, solo, sobre todo de noche, s\u00e9 muy bien que no soy el mismo que, durante el d\u00eda, lleva una vida com\u00fan y corriente. No quiero hacer romanticismo barato, no quiero hablar de estados alterados. Pero es evidente que ese hecho de ponerse a caminar por una ciudad como Par\u00eds o Buenos Aires durante la noche, que ese estado ambulatorio en el que en un momento dado dejamos de pertenecer al mundo ordinario, me sit\u00faa con respecto a la ciudad y sit\u00faa a la ciudad con respecto a m\u00ed en una relaci\u00f3n que a los surrealistas les gustaba llamar ‘privilegiada’. Es decir que, en ese preciso momento, se producen el pasaje, el puente, las \u00f3smosis, los signos, los descubrimientos. Y todo esto es lo que gener\u00f3, en gran parte, lo que yo he escrito en forma de novelas o de relatos. Caminar por Par\u00eds \u2013 y por eso califico a Par\u00eds como \u201cciudad m\u00edtica\u201d\u2013 significa avanzar hacia m\u00ed.\u201d<\/i> [2]<\/p>\n
