(How To Spot Fake News).jpg\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><p> El pasado noviembre tuvo lugar en la Fundaci\u00f3n Evgenidou de Atenas, el <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eef.edu.gr\/en\/news\/fake-news-information-and-libraries\/\" target=\"_blank\">15\u00ba Congreso Internacional del Comit\u00e9 de Apoyo a las Bibliotecas de Grecia<\/a>, que llevaba por t\u00edtulo \u201cNoticias falsas: informaci\u00f3n y bibliotecas\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>El Instituto Cervantes de Atenas, como miembro de dicho comit\u00e9, tuvo el honor de invitar al profesor del Departamento de Ciencias de la Informaci\u00f3n y la Comunicaci\u00f3n de la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uoc.edu\/portal\/en\/news\/kit-premsa\/guia-experts\/directori\/alexandre-lopez.html\" target=\"_blank\">Alexandre L\u00f3pez-Borrull<\/a>, el cual ha trabajado los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os acerca de las noticias falsas y la desinformaci\u00f3n en los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n y las redes sociales. Os recomendamos su presentaci\u00f3n \u201c<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.slideshare.net\/alopezbo\/libraries-fighting-fake-news-challenges-allies-resources-and-opportunities-1\" target=\"_blank\">Las bibliotecas luchando contra las noticias falsas<\/a>\u201d, que pod\u00e9is consultar en acceso libre. En ella encontrar\u00e9is herramientas que os ayudar\u00e1n a reflexionar sobre el papel y la responsabilidad que tenemos tanto las bibliotecas como los ciudadanos en la lucha contra las noticias falsas (<em>fake news<\/em>).<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Una de las herramientas a las que se hace referencia, son los <strong>sitios web de verificaci\u00f3n de datos<\/strong> (<em>fact checking<\/em>). La primera de ellas, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.snopes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">snopes.com<\/a> , se cre\u00f3 en EEUU en 1994, posteriormente <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.factcheck.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">factcheck.org<\/a> comenz\u00f3 su andadura en 2003. Estas verificaciones las llevan a cabo periodistas y su objetivo es poner en evidencia los bulos o las noticias falsas que se publican en los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n, contrastando las noticias con datos objetivos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dentro del \u00e1mbito hispano, tambi\u00e9n han surgido varias iniciativas en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os.
