El jurado, presidido por Bernardo Atxaga ha se\u00f1alado de la novela: \u00abla trama narra el viaje de un hombre que busca en el pasado una explicaci\u00f3n de su situaci\u00f3n y la de su pa\u00eds. Una lectura conmovedora sobre el amor y la superaci\u00f3n del miedo\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">Juan Gabriel V\u00e1squez naci\u00f3 en Bogot\u00e1 en 1973, vivi\u00f3 en Francia y B\u00e9lgica, y desde hace m\u00e1s de 10 a\u00f1os ha fijado su residencia en Barcelona. Entre sus obras destacan el libro de cuentos <em>Los amantes de todos los Santos;<\/em> su primera novela <em>Los informantes<\/em> fue elegida como una de las m\u00e1s importantes de los \u00faltimos 25 a\u00f1os en Colombia y fue finalista del Independent Foreign Fiction Prize del Reino Unido. Su segunda novela <em>Historia secreta de Costaguana<\/em> gan\u00f3 el premio Qwerty a la mejor novela en castellano y el Fundaci\u00f3n Libros y Letras de Colombia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">El Premio Alfaguara de Novela est\u00e1 considerado uno de los m\u00e1s importantes en lengua espa\u00f1ola.
