Hoy nos centraremos en la figura de <a title=\"Abre nueva ventana\" href=\"http:\/\/www.octaviopaz.mx\/\" target=\"_blank\">Octavio Paz, Premio Nobel de Literatura en 1990<\/a>, que habr\u00eda cumplido 100 a\u00f1os el pr\u00f3ximo 31 de marzo, porque\u00a0el pasado 26 de febrero la Embajada de M\u00e9xico en Madrid present\u00f3 el <a title=\"Abre nueva ventana\" href=\"http:\/\/www.elcultural.es\/noticias\/LETRAS\/5954\/Espana_celebra_a_Octavio_Paz\" target=\"_blank\">programa de actos que celebrar\u00e1n el nacimiento del poeta en Espa\u00f1a<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>El Instituto Cervantes en Madrid comenz\u00f3 las celebraciones del centenario con un Homenaje a Octavio Paz el pasado 30 de enero, con una <a title=\"Abre nueva ventana\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cervantes.es\/sobre_instituto_cervantes\/prensa\/2014\/noticias\/ano-octavio-paz.htm\" target=\"_blank\">charla del tambi\u00e9n escritor mexicano Juan Villoro<\/a> que fue presentada por el director del Instituto Cervantes, V\u00edctor Garc\u00eda de la Concha y por Alicia Mayer, directora del Centro de Estudios Mexicanos de la UNAM (Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico), que tiene su sede en el Instituto Cervantes. But today we want to focus on the figure of <a title=\"Open new window (in Spanish)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.octaviopaz.mx\/\" target=\"_blank\">Octavio Paz, Nobel Prize for Literature in 1990<\/a>, born the 31st of March 1914, because on 26th February, the Embassy of Mexico in Madrid presented <a title=\"Open new window (in Spanish)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.elcultural.es\/noticias\/LETRAS\/5954\/Espana_celebra_a_Octavio_Paz\" target=\"_blank\">the program of events that will be held in Spain to celebrate the birth of the poet<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\">Instituto Cervantes in Madrid launched the centenary celebrations with a <a title=\"Open new window (in Spanish)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cervantes.es\/sobre_instituto_cervantes\/prensa\/2014\/noticias\/ano-octavio-paz.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Tribute to Octavio Paz on 30th January with a talk by the Mexican writer Juan Villoro<\/a>, presented by the director of the Instituto Cervantes, Victor Garcia de la Concha and Alicia Mayer, director of the Center for Mexican Studies at UNAM, which is based in Madrid, at the Instituto Cervantes. In fact, the celebration of the third edition of the <a title=\"Open new window\" href=\"http:\/\/dublin.cervantes.es\/en\/culture_spanish\/isla_festival\/isla_festival.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Isla Festival of Literature<\/a> will be dedicated to him and Julio Cort\u00e1zar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\">In our library, he is our author of the month during March and April.
