Lejos de ofrecernos una actuaci\u00f3n de baile flamenco convencional, Galv\u00e1n combina tradici\u00f3n y modernidad, teatro y danza, taconeo veloz y movimientos casi imposibles. El flamenco de este artista es de un nivel supremo, una innovaci\u00f3n vibrante, un estilo que ha sido denominado como \u00abflamenco del futuro\u00bb por algunos cr\u00edticos.<\/p>\n

Con una trayectoria imparable, Galv\u00e1n ha sido galardonado con los premios m\u00e1s prestigiosos, entre ellos el premio Desplante, el Vicente Escudero y el de la Escuela Nacional de Danza Espa\u00f1ola. La reacci\u00f3n admirada de la cr\u00edtica siempre ha sido un\u00e1nime: es un artista que ha de verse en el tablao al menos una vez en la vida.<\/p>\n

El espect\u00e1culo, uno de los m\u00e1s destacados del Festival de Danza de Dubl\u00edn, que tendr\u00e1 lugar del 19 al 30 de mayo, contar\u00e1 adem\u00e1s con m\u00fasica en directo, de la mano de los hermanos Lagos: David Lagos, la voz, y Afredo Lagos a la guitarra.<\/p>\n

No hay mejor forma de expresar cu\u00e1n bella es la danza de Galv\u00e1n que parafraseando al periodista y escritor Manuel Vicent. En una columna sobre el expresionismo, de hace unos a\u00f1os, confiesa: \u00abSiempre he cre\u00eddo que la belleza solo alcanza su destino si penetra en tu cuerpo y te saca las entra\u00f1as\u00bb; pues bien, algo as\u00ed es lo que consigue el bailaor y core\u00f3grafo sevillano.<\/p>\n

Israel Galv\u00e1n, Spain\u2019s most celebrated Flamenco dancer brings his award winning show \u201cLa Edad de Oro\u201d (The Golden Age) to the Abbey Theatre stage with the collaboration of Instituto Cervantes Dublin<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

His flamenco performance is far from a conventional one. Galv\u00e1n combines tradition and contemporary styles, theatre and dance, fast footwork and almost impossible complex movements. The standard of the Flamenco presented by this artist is second to none delighting audiences with his innovative rhythmic movement, a style that some critics refer to as the Flamenco of the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

Galv\u00e1n has been the recipient of the most prestigious awards during his unstoppable career. Worth mentioning are the \u2018Desplante\u2019 and \u2018Vicente Escudero\u2019 Awards and Spain\u2019s National Dance Prize. Critics unanimously agree that he is an artist worth seeing on stage at least once in a lifetime.<\/span><\/p>\n

This show is one of the highlights of the Dublin Dance Festival, taking place from the 19th to the 30th of May. With live music by brothers David Lagos (vocalist) and Alfredo Lagos (guitar).<\/span><\/p>\n

The Spanish writer and reporter Manuel Vincent said he always believed that beauty only reaches its destination if it permeates your body and moves you to the core. This is the effect the Sevillian dancer and choreographer has on audiences. <\/span><\/p>\n
