Fundaci\u00f3n Cultural Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> (1910-1942) forma parte de esa lista negra de insignes poetas y escritores a los que la Guerra Civil Espa\u00f1ola sesg\u00f3 la vida y con ella una brillante trayectoria en la literatura. No hizo falta que se ejecutara su sentencia de muerte, la insalubridad de la c\u00e1rcel de Alicante, a la que hab\u00eda sido confinado por su participaci\u00f3n en el frente republicano, se lo llev\u00f3 a los 32 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de su temprana muerte, su precocidad en las letras y su tenacidad incluso en las condiciones m\u00e1s duras nos han dejado un amplio repertorio de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cervantes.es\/imagenes\/File\/biblioteca\/bibliografias\/hernandez_miguel.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">poemas y obras de teatro<\/a> que os invitamos a conocer durante este mes en nuestra biblioteca. Es imprescindible hurgar tambi\u00e9n en la secci\u00f3n musical porque muchos autores han converitdo sus poemas en canciones: Joan Manuel Serrat, V\u00edctor Jara, Enrique Morente, Camar\u00f3n dela Isla, Extremoduro, etc. Adem\u00e1s, el 20 de febrero el Caf\u00e9 Literario ser\u00e1 escenario de <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/dublin.cervantes.es\/FichasCultura\/Ficha79099_16_1.htm\" target=\"_blank\">En otra voz: Homenaje a Thomas MacGreevy y Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Siendo v\u00e1stago de familia humilde, la formaci\u00f3n de Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez fue pr\u00e1cticamente autodidacta como voraz lector de poes\u00eda cl\u00e1sica espa\u00f1ola. Una vez prendida en \u00e9l la llama literaria, se hace asiduo de las tertulias de su Orihuela\u00a0natal\u00a0y en 1930 se traslada a Madrid, donde entra en contacto con los poetas de la generaci\u00f3n del 27. En ese mismo a\u00f1o empiezan a publicarse sus obras, en cuya evoluci\u00f3n intervienen el barroco, el surrealismo, los movimientos obreros, las penurias de la guerra, la c\u00e1rcel&#8230; En ellas dej\u00f3 plasmados su\u00a0 humanidad, sus convencimientos ideol\u00f3gicos, su alto sentido de la justicia y su amor al pueblo. Como dir\u00eda su amigo Pablo Neruda, \u201crecordar a Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez que desapareci\u00f3 en la oscuridad y recordarlo a plena luz, es un deber de Espa\u00f1a, un deber de amor\u201d.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> (1910-1942) is part of the black list of prominent writers and poets whose lives and brilliant literary careers were cut short by the Spanish Civil War. He was sentenced to death; however the insalubrious conditions\u00a0in the prison of Alicante, where he had been confined to for his involvement in the republican front, took his life earlier at the age of 32.<\/p>\n<p>In spite of passing away so young, his early interest for literature and tenacity even in\u00a0the hardest times made him produce a wide range of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cervantes.es\/imagenes\/File\/biblioteca\/bibliografias\/hernandez_miguel.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">poems and plays <\/a>which we invite you to discover during this month at our library. We highly recommend to take a look also at the music section, as many of his poems have been converted into songs by famous singers: Joan Manuel Serrat, V\u00edctor Jara, Enrique Morente, Camar\u00f3n dela Isla, Extremoduro, etc. Furthermore, on February 20<sup>th<\/sup> we carry out at Caf\u00e9 Literario the event <a href=\"http:\/\/dublin.cervantes.es\/FichasCultura\/Ficha79099_16_2.htm\" target=\"_blank\"><em><strong>In a different voice<\/strong>, <\/em>a tribute to Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez and Irish poet Thomas MacGreevy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Coming from a humble family, Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez was a self-taught who virtually got his education by avidly reading Spanish classical poetry. Once he was captivated by the books, he started to attend the literary circle of his home town, Orihuela, and in 1930 he moved to Madrid, where he got in contact with writers from the generation of 1927. His books started to be published on that same year and they\u2019re influenced by Spanish baroque, surrealism, the labour movements, the hardships of war, the prison\u2026 His writings are a reflection of his humanity, his ideals, his high sense of justice and his love for the people.
