They will present the film and after the screening, we will have the opportunity to chat\u00a0with them.<\/p>\n<p>From a true story that had already been taken to the screen &#8211;<em>The Honeymoon Killers <\/em>(1970), a B movie and <strong>Truffaut <\/strong>favorite- in the hands of <strong>Arturo Ripstein <\/strong>and relocated in Mexico, it has become his masterpiece and won him the international acclaim he long deserved.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe film merges a cruel world, humanized monsters and a black humor that shows up when least expected.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color:#ff0000\">Arturo Ripstein<\/span><\/strong>, born in Mexico City in 1943, is the son of a well-known producer. He studied law, history and art history before plunging into a film career in 1962, as an assistant to <strong>Luis Bu\u00f1uel<\/strong>.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nIn 1965, he directed his first feature, <strong><em>Tiempo de Morir<\/em><\/strong>, written by <strong>Carlos Fuentes <\/strong>and <strong>Gabriel Garc\u00eda M\u00e1rquez<\/strong>, it began a tradition of making independent films written by high-profile Latin-American authors.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nIn 1997, <strong><span style=\"color:#ff0000\">Ripstein<\/span><\/strong> won the National Prize of Arts and Sciences, the second filmmaker after <strong>Bu\u00f1uel<\/strong> to do so.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#ff0000\"><strong>Paz Alicia Garciadiego<\/strong><\/span> is the scriptwriter of many of his films.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Today<\/strong>, 25\/11\/2010 (18:00 h) at <span style=\"color:#ff0000\"><strong>Instituto Cervantes <\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#000000\">Lincoln House.
