Sergio Inurrigarro nos explica las razones, adem\u00e1s de hacer un recorrido por su historia, propiedades y t\u00e9cnica de degustaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El mezcal es fruto de la planta del \u00e1gave y, adem\u00e1s, del mestizaje entre el viejo y el nuevo mundo. Entre otras curiosidades hist\u00f3ricas, Inurrigarro relata c\u00f3mo el mezcal era utilizado por los conquistadores espa\u00f1oles como reclamo para hacer a los ind\u00edgenas exprimir el oro y la plata de las minas.<\/p>\n<p>Esta bebida \u201cm\u00edstica, m\u00e1gica y afrodis\u00edaca\u201d no puede tomarse a la ligera, sino que precisa de una t\u00e9cnica espec\u00edfica para su correcta degustaci\u00f3n, la llamada \u201cT\u00e9cnica de la cata del beso\u201d, explica Inurrigarro. Solo as\u00ed se aseguran sus infinitas propiedades, entre las que se encuentran, citando al escritor mexicano Andr\u00e9s Henestrosa, la de despertar el esp\u00edritu y hacer que el mundo se vea mucho mejor.<\/p>\n<p>Los <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/ICDublin?blend=12&amp;ob=5#p\/c\/44628AED438BFA08\" target=\"_blank\">Encuentros en la Biblioteca<\/a><\/strong> son una serie de entrevistas a personalidades del mundo de las letras y la cultura en general que se realizan en la biblioteca del Instituto Cervantes de Dubl\u00edn. Esta iniciativa naci\u00f3 con el prop\u00f3sito de servir de plataforma de encuentro entre escritores y lectores y de contribuir a nuestra misi\u00f3n de difusi\u00f3n de la cultura en espa\u00f1ol.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<hr align=\"center\" size=\"2\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<p>Sergio Inurrigarro, President of the Association Pro-Mezcal, was so kind to join our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/ICDublin?blend=12&amp;ob=5#p\/c\/44628AED438BFA08\" target=\"_blank\">Meetings at the library<\/a> to introduce us the interesting world of mezcal, which is one of the best kept secrets of Mexican gastronomy. The mezcal is however considered the most perfect alcohol for human intake. In this video Sergio Inurrigarro explains the reasons, as\u00a0well as making a journey over the history,\u00a0benefits and tasting techniques.<\/p>\n<p>Mezcal comes from the agave plant as well as from the fusion of the Old and the New World. Among other historic curiosities, Inurrigarro recounts how the Spanish conquerors used the mezcal to attract the indigenous population to mine gold and silver for them.<\/p>\n<p>This \u201cmystic, magical and aphrodisiac\u201d drink cannot be taken lightly. On the contrary, a very specific technique called \u201cKiss tasting technique\u201d must be applied for tasting, explains Inurrigarro. Only by doing this we can preserve its many benefits, such as those referred by Mexican writer Andr\u00e9s Henestrosa: awakening the spirit and making people perceive the world much better.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/ICDublin?blend=12&amp;ob=5#p\/c\/44628AED438BFA08\" target=\"_blank\">Meetings at the library<\/a><\/strong> is the title of a series of interviews with important figures in literature and the arts in general held at the Library of Instituto Cervantes Dublin.
