Su t\u00edtulo hace alusi\u00f3n al refr\u00e1n <em>El perro del hortelano no come ni deja comer<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Cuenta la<strong> historia <\/strong>de\u00a0\u00a0Diana, condesa de Belflor, una joven perspicaz, impulsiva e inteligente. Est\u00e1 enamorada de Teodoro, su secretario, pero comprueba que \u00e9ste ya est\u00e1 comprometido con la dama Marcela. Movida por los celos y la envidia, todo su af\u00e1n se centra en separar a los dos enamorados.<\/p>\n<p>El<strong> autor <\/strong>de la obra de teatro en la que se basa la pel\u00edcula es Lope de Vega (Madrid, 1562). Poeta, novelista y el m\u00e1s grande dramaturgo espa\u00f1ol. Cultiv\u00f3 todo tipo de g\u00e9neros vigentes en su tiempo, dando adem\u00e1s forma a la comedia. Escribi\u00f3 unas 1.500 obras teatrales entre las que se encuentran aut\u00e9nticas joyas de la literatura universal de las que se conservan 426.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pilar Mir\u00f3<\/strong> (Madrid, 1940) es una reconocida directora de cine espa\u00f1ola. En 1982 ocup\u00f3 el cargo de Directora General de Cinematograf\u00eda y entre 1986 y 1989 dirigi\u00f3 la Radio y Televisi\u00f3n P\u00fablica Espa\u00f1ola. Su actividad posterior se diversific\u00f3 entre la direcci\u00f3n de teatro y de \u00f3pera y su carrera cinematogr\u00e1fica, siendo su \u00faltima producci\u00f3n <em>El perro del hortelano<\/em> (1996).<\/p>\n<p>A la proyecci\u00f3n le seguir\u00e1 un debate dirigido a todo tipo de p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The film series &#8220;<a title=\"One film, one book\" href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/dublin.cervantes.es\/FichasCultura\/Ficha80074_16_2.htm\" target=\"_blank\">One film, one Book&#8221; <\/a>ends this Wednesday at 6pm with the screening of the film <a title=\"El perro del hortelano\" href=\"http:\/\/dublin.cervantes.es\/FichasCultura\/Ficha80189_16_2.htm\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;El perro del hortelano&#8221;<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Based on a comedy by Lope de Vega (1562-1635). The title refers to a Spanish saying equivalent to \u2018People often grudge others what they cannot enjoy themselves\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>story<\/strong> is about Diana, the Countess of Belflor, is an intelligent, impulsive woman in love with her secretary, Teodoro. He is engaged to Marcela, one of the countess\u2019s ladies in waiting. When the countess finds out about the engagement, driven by jealousy, she does everything possible to separate the lovers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lope de Vega<\/strong> (Madrid, 1562) is the most prominent Spanish playwright. He also wrote poems and novels, exploring all literary genres of his times. Furthermore, he was one of the forerunners of the comedy. He wrote about 1500 plays, from which only 426 have been kept, representing a treasury of world literature.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pilar Mir\u00f3<\/strong> (Madrid, 1940) is a renowned Spanish filmmaker. In 1982 she became General Director for Filmmaking and from 1986 to 1989 she headed the Spanish Public Broadcasting.
