Ha recibido el premio Hennessy Literary Award y el Irish Times Short Story Award. Su obra ha sido traducida al sueco, dan\u00e9s, japon\u00e9s, italiano y alem\u00e1n y sus relatos cortos han aparecido en revistas de Irlanda, Inglaterra y Estados Unidos. Uno de sus libros de relatos,\u00a0<em>The Lady With the Red Shoes<\/em>, forma parte del plan de estudios de las escuelas de secundaria alemanas.<\/p>\n<p>Christopher Dom\u00ednguez Michael\u00a0(Ciudad de M\u00e9xico, M\u00e9xico, 1962), historiador y ensayista, es uno de los m\u00e1s conocidos cr\u00edticos literarios hispanoamericanos. Es autor de numerosas publicaciones, siendo su \u00faltima publicaci\u00f3n\u00a0<em>Profetas del pasado. Quince voces sobre la historiograf\u00eda de M\u00e9xico<\/em>\u00a0(2011). Es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte desde 1993. Su\u00a0<em>Diccionario cr\u00edtico de la literatura mexicana, 1955\u20132005<\/em>\u00a0ha sido traducido y actualizado al ingl\u00e9s en 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Rafael Gumucio\u00a0(Santiago, Chile, 1970) ha trabajado como periodista en numerosos diarios nacionales chilenos, espa\u00f1oles y en el New York Times. En 1995 public\u00f3 el libro de relatos\u00a0<em>Invierno en la Torre<\/em>\u00a0y\u00a0<em>Memorias Prematuras<\/em>. Ha publicado tambi\u00e9n las novelas\u00a0<em>Comedia Nupcial<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Los Platos Rotos<\/em>\u00a0y\u00a0<em>P\u00e1ginas Coloniales<\/em>. Su \u00faltima novela es\u00a0<em>La Deuda<\/em>\u00a0(2009). Actualmente es Director del Instituto de Estudios Humor\u00edsticos de la Universidad Diego Portales y co-conductor de Desde Zero en Radio Zero.<\/p>\n<p>Catherine Dunne\u00a0(Dubl\u00edn, 1954), estudi\u00f3 ingl\u00e9s y espa\u00f1ol en Trinity College de Dubl\u00edn. Su primera novela,\u00a0<em>In the Beginning<\/em>, fue publicada en 1997. Le sigui\u00f3\u00a0<em>A Name for Himself,\u00a0<\/em>finalista del premio Kerry Fiction Prize. Ha publicado otras seis novelas,\u00a0<em>The Walled Garden<\/em>\u00a0(2000),\u00a0<em>Another Kind of Life<\/em>\u00a0(2003), Something\u00a0<em>Like Love<\/em>\u00a0(2006),\u00a0<em>At a Time Like This<\/em>(2007),\u00a0<em>Set in Stone<\/em>\u00a0(2009),\u00a0<em>Missing Julia<\/em>\u00a0(2011) y el ensayo\u00a0<em>An Unconsidered People: The Irish in Sixties London<\/em>\u00a0(2003). Sus novelas\u00a0<em>The Walled Garden<\/em>\u00a0(<em>El jard\u00edn vallado<\/em>) y\u00a0<em>A Name for Himself<\/em>\u00a0(<em>Un nombre propio<\/em>) han sido traducidas al espa\u00f1ol.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The first event in 3rd November of <a title=\"ISLA Literary Festival\" href=\"http:\/\/dublin.cervantes.es\/FichasCultura\/Ficha83292_16_2.htm\" target=\"_blank\">ISLA Literary Festival<\/a> is a <a title=\"Discussion\" href=\"http:\/\/dublin.cervantes.es\/FichasCultura\/Ficha84339_16_2.htm\" target=\"_blank\">literary discussion<\/a>, and it will take place at Caf\u00e9 Literario at 11:30.<\/p>\n<p>Topics such as identity and memory, violence or humour will be dealt with by guests Ita Daly, Christopher Dom\u00ednguez Michael, Rafael Gumucio and Catherine Dunne, chaired by Ciaran Cosgrove (Trinity College Dublin).<\/p>\n<p>Ita Daly\u00a0(Drumshambo, Co.
