Modera: Ciaran Carty.<\/p>\n<p>Javier Mariscal\u00a0(Valencia, 1950) es ante todo un creador de im\u00e1genes que desarrolla su trabajo en todo tipo de soportes y disciplinas. Junto con el equipo del Estudio Mariscal, que fund\u00f3 en 1989, ha realizado numerosos proyectos internacionales (H&amp;M, America\u2019s Cup, Camper, etc.), adem\u00e1s de la exposici\u00f3n sobre su trabajo Mariscal Drawing Life en el Design Museum de Londres y dos publicaciones monogr\u00e1ficas:\u00a0<em>Mariscal Drawing Life<\/em>\u00a0y\u00a0<em>Sketches<\/em>. En 2010, ha dirigido junto a Fernando Trueba,\u00a0<em>Chico y Rita<\/em>\u00a0y se ha publicado el c\u00f3mic\u00a0<em>Chico &amp; Rita<\/em>. En 2011 ha publicado tambi\u00e9n el libro ilustrado\u00a0<em>Los Garriris<\/em>.<em>Chico &amp; Rita<\/em>\u00a0se ha traducido al ingl\u00e9s en 2011, public\u00e1ndose tambi\u00e9n en Francia y Pa\u00edses Bajos.<\/p>\n<p>Mark O\u2019Halloran\u00a0(Ennis, Condado de Clare) es un dramaturgo, actor y guionista irland\u00e9s. Escribi\u00f3 el gui\u00f3n de\u00a0 dos pel\u00edculas muy aplaudidas en la escena cinematogr\u00e1fica: En la primera,\u00a0<em>Adam and Paul<\/em>(2004) tambi\u00e9n asumi\u00f3 unos de los papeles principales, ganando con su trabajo el premio del Festival Internacional de Cine de Gij\u00f3n al mejor actor (2005) y el Evening Standard British Film Award al mejor gui\u00f3n (2006). Su segunda pel\u00edcula,\u00a0<em>Garage<\/em>, se estren\u00f3 en el Festival de Cine de Cannes en el 2007 y gan\u00f3 el premio CICAE a la mejor pel\u00edcula, as\u00ed como el Irish Film and Television Award al mejor gui\u00f3n de pel\u00edcula (2008), entre muchos otros. Tambi\u00e9n escribi\u00f3 el gui\u00f3n para la serie\u00a0<em>Prosperity<\/em>, del canal RTE en 2007, por el cual gan\u00f3 el Irish Film and Television Award al mejor gui\u00f3n de televisi\u00f3n (2008). Su \u00faltima obra de teatro\u00a0<em>Trade<\/em>\u00a0se estren\u00f3 en el Festival de Teatro del Ulster Bank Dublin en septiembre de 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Fernando Trueba\u00a0(Madrid, Espa\u00f1a, 1955) es guionista, editor y director de cine. Entre 1974 y 1979 trabaj\u00f3 como cr\u00edtico de cine para\u00a0<em>El Pa\u00eds<\/em>\u00a0y en 1980 fund\u00f3 la revista mensual de cine\u00a0<em>Casablanca<\/em>, la cual dirigi\u00f3 y edit\u00f3 durante los primeros dos a\u00f1os. En 1992, su pel\u00edcula\u00a0<em>Belle \u00c9poque<\/em>, obtuvo 9 premios Goya y, en 1993, obtiene el Oscar a la mejor pel\u00edcula de habla no inglesa. En 1997 publica su libro<em>Diccionario del cine<\/em>\u00a0y es editor del\u00a0<em>Diccionario del Jazz Latino<\/em>\u00a0(1998). Recientemente ha llevado al cine, junto al dise\u00f1ador Javier Mariscal, la pel\u00edcula de animaci\u00f3n\u00a0<em>Chico y Rita<\/em>, que ha recibido el Goya a la mejor pel\u00edcula de animaci\u00f3n y que ha sido nominada al \u00d3scar como Mejor Pel\u00edcula de animaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>To begin the last day of <a title=\"ISLA literary festival\" href=\"http:\/\/dublin.cervantes.es\/FichasCultura\/Ficha83292_16_2.htm\" target=\"_blank\">ISLA Literary Festival<\/a>, we start with a <a title=\"literary discussion\" href=\"http:\/\/dublin.cervantes.es\/FichasCultura\/Ficha84351_16_2.htm\" target=\"_blank\">literary discussion<\/a> that will take place at 11:00 in Caf\u00e9 Literario.<\/p>\n<p>Cinema and literature, graphic novel or how stories told in images or words come to life will be some of the topics dealt with by guests Javier Mariscal (designer), Fernando Trueba (cinema director) and Mark O\u2019Halloran (actor, script writer). Chaired by Ciaran Carty.<\/p>\n<p>Javier Mariscal\u00a0(Valencia, 1950) is, first and foremost, an image creator who develops his work using all kinds of supports and disciplines. Together with the team of Estudio Mariscal, which he founded in 1989, in recent years, and among many other things, he has done several interior design and graphics (H&amp;M, America\u2019s Cup, Camper, etc), the exhibition of his work\u00a0<em>Mariscal Drawing Life<\/em>\u00a0in the Design Museum of London and two monographic publications:\u00a0<em>Mariscal Drawing Life<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Sketches<\/em>. Clare) is an Irish playwright, actor and screen writer. He wrote the script for two critically lauded Irish films: On the first one,\u00a0<em>Adam and Paul<\/em>\u00a0(2004), he also took one of the leading roles, winning the Gij\u00f3n International Film Festival Award for Best Actor (2005) and the Evening Standard British Film Award for Best Screenplay (2006). Between 1974 and 1979 he worked as a film critic for Spain&#8217;s national daily newspaper El Pais and in 1980 he founded the monthly film magazine Casablanca, which he directed and edited during its first two years. In 1992, his film\u00a0<em>Belle \u00c9poque<\/em>\u00a0received 9 Goya Awards and, in 1993, it was awarded the Oscar for Best Foreign Language film. In 1997 he published the book\u00a0<em>Diccionario del cine<\/em>\u00a0and is the editor\u00a0of the<em>Diccionario Del Jazz Latino<\/em>. He has recently brought<em>Chico &amp; Rita<\/em>\u00a0to the big screen working with designer Javier Mariscal.
