El acto tendr\u00e1 lugar en el Caf\u00e9 Literario.<\/p>\n<p>Se le considera uno de los mejores novelistas de su generaci\u00f3n, y\u00a0<em><a title=\"libro\" href=\"http:\/\/dublin.cervantes.es\/FichasCultura\/Ficha85438_16_1.htm\" target=\"_blank\">El ruido de las cosas al caer<\/a><\/em>, que aborda el devenir de Colombia durante la \u00e9poca de Pablo Escobar, es hasta la fecha su mejor novela.<\/p>\n<p>Tan pronto conoce a Ricardo Laverde, el joven Antonio Yammara comprende que en el pasado de su nuevo amigo hay un secreto, o quiz\u00e1 varios. Su atracci\u00f3n por la misteriosa vida de Laverde, nacida al hilo de sus encuentros en un billar, se transforma en verdadera obsesi\u00f3n el d\u00eda en que \u00e9ste es asesinado.<\/p>\n<p>Convencido de que resolver el enigma de Laverde le se\u00f1alar\u00e1 un camino en su encrucijada vital, Yammara emprende una investigaci\u00f3n que se remonta a los primeros a\u00f1os setenta, cuando una generaci\u00f3n de j\u00f3venes idealistas fue testigo del nacimiento de un negocio que acabar\u00eda por llevar a Colombia \u2014y al mundo\u2014 al borde del abismo.<\/p>\n<p>Juan Gabriel V\u00e1squez\u00a0(Rosario, Colombia, 1973) estudi\u00f3 derecho en su ciudad natal y m\u00e1s tarde se doctor\u00f3 en Literatura Latinoamericana en La Sorbona. Actualmente reside en Barcelona. Es autor de tres novelas &#8220;oficiales&#8221; \u2014<em>Los informantes<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Historia secreta de Costaguana<\/em>\u00a0y\u00a0<em>El ruido de las cosas al caer<\/em>\u2014, aunque escribi\u00f3 otras cuando ten\u00eda 23 y 25 a\u00f1os de edad, que \u00e9l prefiere eliminar. Antonio&#8217;s fascination with the life of Laverde begins by casual acquaintance in a billiard hall and grows until the day Ricardo is murdered.<\/p>\n<p>More out of love with life than ever, he starts asking questions until the questions become an obsession that leads him to Laverde&#8217;s daughter. His troubled investigation leads all the way back to the early 1960s, marijuana smuggling and a time before the cocaine trade trapped a whole generation of Colombians in a living nightmare of fear and random death.<\/p>\n<p>Juan Gabriel V\u00e1squez\u00a0(Rosario, Colombia, 1973) studied law in his hometown and obtained a phd in Latin American Literature in the Sorbone University. At present he lives in Barcelona. He has published three &#8220;official&#8221; novels \u2013\u00a0<em>The informers<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The secret history of Costaguana<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>The Sound of Things Falling<\/em>\u2014 however he wrote others at the age of 23 and 25 which he prefers to omit.
