Con este motivo, la ciudad de Dubl\u00edn, ciudad siempre literaria, se ve colmada de <a title=\"Abre nueva ventana\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bramstokercentenary.com\/dublin\/index.php\/dracula\" target=\"_blank\">actividades en honor del autor de Dr\u00e1cula<\/a>. Y claro est\u00e1, en el Instituto Cervantes no pod\u00edamos ser menos. Por ello, el d\u00eda 28 de noviembre celebramos un homenaje al escritor dublin\u00e9s que contar\u00e1 con la presencia de Luis Alberto de Cuenca y Alicia Mari\u00f1o. La charla ser\u00e1 moderada por el Dr. Jarlath Killen, profesor de Literatura Victoriana del Trinity College Dublin.<\/p>\n<p>Luis Alberto de Cuenca (Madrid, 1950) escribe lo que \u00e9l denomina poes\u00eda transculturalista en la cual lo trascendente se codea con lo cotidiano y la cultura popular se mezcla con la literaria. Fue director de la Biblioteca Nacional y Secretario de Cultura del gobierno espa\u00f1ol.<\/p>\n<p>Alicia Mari\u00f1o es licenciada en Derecho y en Filolog\u00eda Francesa. Ha trabajado sobre el g\u00e9nero fant\u00e1stico en distintos autores y \u00faltimamente ha orientado su labor hacia la literatura comparada, estudiando la g\u00e9nesis y evoluci\u00f3n de ciertas leyendas europeas.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Instituto Cervantes Dublin is pleased to invite Luis Alberto de Cuenta and Alicia Mari\u00f1o, who <a title=\"Open new window\" href=\"http:\/\/dublin.cervantes.es\/FichasCultura\/Ficha83293_16_2.htm\" target=\"_blank\">will pay tribute to the Dubliner writer Bram Stoker<\/a>. The talk will be chaired by Dr. Jarlath Killen, Lecturer in Victorian Literature at Trinity College Dublin.<\/p>\n<p>This year we are conmmemorating the 100th anniversary of Bram Stoker\u00b4s death (1847-1912). Therefore, we would like to bring the figure of this Irish mathematician and novel and short story writer closer to you. Although his work was very prolific, he has been idolized and remembered by the creation of one of the most influential horror stories in history: <em>Dracula<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Luis Alberto de Cuenca (Madrid, 1950), one of Spain\u2019s most famous living poets, writes what he calls \u2018transculturalist\u2019 poetry in which the transcendental rubs shoulders with the everyday, and literary and popular cultures intermingle. He uses both free verse and traditional metres and his verse is famous for its ironic elegance and its scepticism.<\/p>\n<p>Alicia Mari\u00f1o has a degree in Law and in French Philology.
