The film tells the story of the life and death of the\u00a0saltpetre Chilean workers of the early 20th century. The film was\u00a0nominated for an Oscar in 1975\u00a0for best foreign film; it also participated in the official competition at Cannes 1976.\u00a0The film will be presented personally by one of its protagonists, the outstanding and distinguished Mexican artist Diana Bracho.<\/p>\n<p>Diana Bracho\u00a0has worked with some of the best directors of Cinema in Mexico on over forty films, for instance\u00a0<em>El Castillo de la Pureza<\/em>\u00a0(<em>The Castle of Purity<\/em>),\u00a0<em>Las Poquianchis<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Entre Pancho Villa y una mujer desnuda\u00a0<\/em>(<em>Between Pancho Villa and a Naked Woman<\/em>),\u00a0<em>Cuban Blood<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Y Tu Mam\u00e1 Tambi\u00e9n<\/em>. She has also starred in numerous plays, television series and soap operas, including the famous\u00a0<em>Cuna de Lobos\u00a0<\/em>(<em>Cradle of Wolves<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Iv\u00e1n Trujillo, Director of the prestigious Guadalajara International Film Festival, will also be attending\u00a0the screening. Both Diana Bracho and Iv\u00e1n Trujillo will participate in a Q &amp; A session after the film.<\/p>\n<p>Refreshments will be served compliment of the Embassy of Mexico and the Embassy of Chile.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Chile y M\u00e9xico se unen en la pel\u00edcula que te ofrecemos hoy a las 18:00 en el Caf\u00e9 Literario.\u00a0<em><a title=\"Actas de Marusia\" href=\"http:\/\/dublin.cervantes.es\/FichasCultura\/Ficha88706_16_1.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Actas de Marusia<\/a><\/em>\u00a0es una pel\u00edcula mexicana dirigida por el chileno Miguel Littin. El filme narra la historia de la vida y muerte de los\u00a0trabajadores chilenos del salitre de principios del siglo XX. La cinta estuvo\u00a0nominada al \u00d3scar\u00a0en 1975\u00a0en la categor\u00eda de mejor pel\u00edcula extranjera, a la vez que particip\u00f3 en la competici\u00f3n oficial del Festival de Cannes de 1976.\u00a0La cinta ser\u00e1 presentada personalmente por una de sus protagonistas, la destacada y distinguida artista mexicana Diana Bracho.<\/p>\n<p>Diana Bracho\u00a0ha trabajado con algunos de los directores m\u00e1s sobresalientes del cine mexicano en m\u00e1s de cuarenta filmes, entre ellos\u00a0<em>El Castillo de la Pureza<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Las Poquianchis<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Entre Pancho Villa y Una Mujer Desnuda<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Cuban Blood<\/em>\u00a0y\u00a0<em>Y Tu Mam\u00e1 Tambi\u00e9n<\/em>. Ha protagonizado tambi\u00e9n numerosas obras de teatro, series de televisi\u00f3n y telenovelas, entre ellas la muy famosa\u00a0<em>Cuna de lobos<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>En\u00a0la proyecci\u00f3n de la pel\u00edcula tambi\u00e9n estar\u00e1 presente el Director del prestigiado Festival Internacional de Cine de Guadalajara,\u00a0Iv\u00e1n Trujillo.
