On this occasion, he visits on Friday<\/span>, October 4th, the Instituto Cervantes in Madrid<\/a> and participates in the cycle of \u201cEncuentros en el Cervantes\u201d, a conversation that will inquire into his biography and his literary work.<\/span><\/p>\n

John Banville (Wexford, Ireland, 1945) has received numerous awards, like the prestigious Booker Prize for his novel The Sea<\/em> in 2005. Under the pseudonym Benjamin Black, he has written a series of highly successful crime novels.<\/span><\/p>\n

John Banville (Wexford, Irlanda, 1945) ha recibido numerosos galardones, entre los que destaca el prestigioso Booker Prize, por su novela El mar<\/em> en 2005. Bajo el seud\u00f3nimo de Benjamin Black ha escrito un ciclo de novelas negras de gran \u00e9xito, ambientadas en el Dubl\u00edn de los a\u00f1os 50 y protagonizadas por el pat\u00f3logo forense Quirke.<\/p>\n
