Spanish and Latin American literature will be very well represented in Ireland along with the best Irish literature through panel discussions and readings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\">As already announced in previous posts on this blog , in the Festival Isla (ISLA is the acronym for Irish Spanish and Latin American) , will participate authors from Argentina , Chile , Cuba , Mexico , Spain and Ireland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\">Durin the presentation in Madrid, John Banville recalled the impression of reading in his youth <em>One Hundred Years of Solitude<\/em> by Gabriel Garc\u00eda M\u00e1rquez , and other Spanish authors , and regretted the lack of presence of Hispanic literature in Ireland. Meanwhile, Enrique Vila- Matas , author of <em>Dublinesca<\/em> (2010 ) , defined himself as a &#8220;literary traveler&#8221; who has visited Dublin compulsively (16 times in four years) .<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Abre nueva ventana \/ Open new window\" href=\"http:\/\/dublin.cervantes.es\/en\/culture_spanish\/isla_festival\/isla_festival_2013\/isla_festival_2013.htm\" target=\"_blank\">All information about the festival is on our website.<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Los escritores <a title=\"V\u00eddeo: Abre nueva ventana \/ Open new window\" href=\"http:\/\/www.video.cervantes.es\/embed\/524ef7cac31997ee3a070000\" target=\"_blank\">John Banville y Enrique Vila-Matas presentaron el pasado viernes en el Instituto Cervantes de Madrid el Festival Isla de Literatura<\/a>, una cita que reunir\u00e1 en Dubl\u00edn a 16 escritores de Espa\u00f1a, Irlanda y Latinoam\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n<p>La <a title=\"Abre nueva ventana \/ Open new window\" href=\"http:\/\/www.video.cervantes.es\/embed\/524ef7cac31997ee3a070000\" target=\"_blank\">segunda edici\u00f3n de este festival se celebrar\u00e1, como sab\u00e9is, del 18 al 20 de octubre<\/a>. A trav\u00e9s de mesas redondas y lecturas, la literatura espa\u00f1ola e hispanoamericana estar\u00e1 presente en Irlanda junto a la mejor literatura irlandesa del momento.<\/p>\n<p>Como ya hemos anunciado en anteriores entradas de este blog, participar\u00e1n en el Festival Isla (Irish Spanish Latin American Literary Festival), autores provenientes de Argentina, Chile, Cuba, M\u00e9xico, Espa\u00f1a e Irlanda.<\/p>\n<p>En su presentaci\u00f3n en Madrid, adem\u00e1s de los ya mencionados John Banville y Enrique Vila-Matas, estuvieron presentes los embajadores en Irlanda de Argentina, Chile, M\u00e9xico y, c\u00f3mo no, el embajador de Espa\u00f1a en Irlanda, Javier Garrigues Fl\u00f3rez.<\/p>\n<p>Banville record\u00f3 en su intervenci\u00f3n la impresi\u00f3n que le produjo en su juventud la lectura de <em>Cien a\u00f1os de soledad<\/em>, de Gabriel Garc\u00eda M\u00e1rquez, y de otros autores en espa\u00f1ol, y ha lamentado la escasa presencia actual de la literatura hispana en su pa\u00eds. Por su parte, Enrique Vila-Matas, autor de <em>Dublinesca<\/em> (2010), se ha definido como un \u00abviajero literario\u00bb que ha visitado \u00abcompulsivamente\u00bb Dubl\u00edn (16 veces en cuatro a\u00f1os).
