CALL FOR APPLICATIONS 2010.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deadline for applications<\/span><\/strong> :\u00a0 31<\/strong>th<\/strong> March 2010<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Application Forms<\/span><\/strong>: <\/strong>Provided <\/strong>by the body in charge of the call for applications and available from the website www.mcu.es<\/a>\u00a0 path to follow: \u00c1rea de Actividades\/ Libro, lectura y letras\/ Becas, Ayudas y Subvenciones\/ Ayudas 2009\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

List of documents:<\/span><\/strong> Applications should be accompanied by the following documents:\u00a0 (INCLUDING TRANSLATION INTO SPANISH WHERE INDICATED)<\/p>\n

Administrative Documents:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1<\/strong> Document providing proof of status as publisher, in accordance with the requirements of the legislation in force in the country of the publisher making the application (company registration, deeds of incorporation, etc.)\u00a0 (SUMMARY TRANSLATED INTO SPANISH).<\/p>\n

2<\/strong> Document providing proof of status as signing representative (power of attorney from notary or accreditation of signature)<\/p>\n

3<\/strong> Appendix II (signed and filled in).<\/p>\n

4 <\/strong>Appendix III (signed and filled in).<\/p>\n

5 <\/strong>Appendix IV (signed and filled in). Only <\/strong>for applicants belonging to EU members states.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

6 <\/strong>Photocopy <\/strong>of the entity\u2019s fiscal identification card. Applicants <\/strong>that do not have fiscal domicile in Spanish territory <\/strong>must present a certificate of fiscal domicile <\/strong>issued by the competent authorities in the country of domicile. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

7 <\/strong>Catalogue with list of published titles.<\/p>\n

8 <\/strong>Copy of contract signed by publisher and translator. The contract must state the total amount payable for carrying out the translation (SUMMARY TRANSLATED INTO SPANISH)<\/p>\n

9 <\/strong>C.V. s of translator\/s\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (IN SPANISH)<\/p>\n

10<\/strong> A sample of the original work being translated. In \u00a0the case of Anthologies,<\/span> a full list of their contents. \u00a0Photocopies of books shall not be accepted.<\/p>\n

11<\/strong> Documentation providing proof of conformity for the copyright holder (in accordance with Intellectual Property Act RDL 1\/1996, of 12th<\/sup> April).<\/p>\n

12 <\/strong>Applicants that carry out their activities in Spain must provide documentary proof of their distribution capacity in the linguistic area for which the subsidy is being requested.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Subsidy amount:<\/span><\/strong> The maximum amount shall be equivalent to the cost of the translation.<\/p>\n

Definitive decision proposal:<\/span><\/strong> Once the Assessment Committee has studied the applications submitted, the definitive decision proposal shall be formulated and notified to the entities proposed as beneficiaries, along with the subsidy acceptance <\/strong>form in order that they may notify their acceptance within 15 calendar days. <\/strong>If acceptance is not received, <\/strong>the potential beneficiary of the subsidy shall be understood to have relinquished <\/strong>same.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Payment of subsidies granted<\/span><\/strong>: The subsidies shall be paid after the decision to grant same has been published in the Official State Gazette.<\/p>\n

Justification of subsidy received by the Publisher:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1.-<\/strong> The Publisher has a period of 3 years <\/strong>counting from the date of publication in the Official Spanish State Gazette of the Resolution on the granting of same, in which to publish the work. <\/strong>For justified reasons, the publisher is entitled to extend this deadline by one more year.<\/p>\n

2.<\/strong>– Within the two months following publication, the following shall be sent to the Vice-Directorate General for Promoting Spanish Books, Reading and Letters:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
