There is one literary work from each EU Member State in the original language and the English translation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you may know, <a href=\"http:\/\/europe.org.uk\/\">Eunic London<\/a> project proposal for Europe Readr: \u00abThe Future of living\u00bb has been amongst the ones selected to receive funding from EUNIC Global.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/issuu.com\/europereadr\/docs\/la_ciutat_roser_capdevila_ab8b7633bf0fbc?fr=sMDcwMzM4NzYwODg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.cervantes.es\/londres\/files\/2021\/12\/la-ciudad__ScaleMaxWidthWzMzMF0-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13985\" width=\"330\" height=\"391\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.cervantes.es\/londres\/files\/2021\/12\/la-ciudad__ScaleMaxWidthWzMzMF0-1.jpg 330w, https:\/\/blogs.cervantes.es\/londres\/files\/2021\/12\/la-ciudad__ScaleMaxWidthWzMzMF0-1-253x300.jpg 253w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 330px) 100vw, 330px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Spain takes part with the picture book called <a href=\"https:\/\/issuu.com\/europereadr\/docs\/la_ciutat_roser_capdevila_ab8b7633bf0fbc?fr=sMDcwMzM4NzYwODg\">\u00abThe City,\u00bb<\/a> by Roser Capdevila, an artist, writer and illustrator. As an artist, she created graphics, oil paintings and watercolours; in 1980, she devoted herself to illustration, especially for children and young adults. Since 1990, she has been involved in the production of The Triplets animated series. Her works have been translated into all major languages. In 2010, she received the Spanish Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts and the Medal of Honour of the Parliament of Catalonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Roser Capdevila, author, Spain, talks about the Europe Readr project\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/I7ZOAzJLZpM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/issuu.com\/europereadr\/docs\/la_ciutat_roser_capdevila_ab8b7633bf0fbc?fr=sMDcwMzM4NzYwODg\">\u00abThe City,<\/a>\u00bb readers follow an inquisitive bird flying over the city, only to stop at places where something interesting is happening: the city park, the mall, the bus station and the train station. The illustrations of the urban everyday life are full of wonderful details that catch the eye only after leafing through the book a couple of times: that way, we can find a character or two who come with us.
