Su libro de 1966, Espa\u00f1a 1801-1939, sus art\u00edculos, sus conferencias, sus brillantes disc\u00edpulos Jos\u00e9 Varela Ortega, Juan Pablo Fusi o Joaqu\u00edn Romero Maura y su propia inteligencia le convirtieron en una referencia ineludible \/ <span style=\"color:#888888\">Raymond Carr (Bath, Great Britain, 1919) hispanist by accident and by design, managed to re-write the history of Spain in a way that enabled its people to see their homeland as a \u00abnormal\u00bb country, free from oddities and existential romanticism.
