La conferencia anual de ARTES la dar\u00e1 Gabriele Finaldi<\/strong>, Director Adjunto de Conservaci\u00f3n e Investigaci\u00f3n \u00a0del Museo \"\"
\ndel Prado. El Dr. Finaldi nos \u00a0hablar\u00e1 de c\u00f3mo la adquisici\u00f3n\u00a0 y\u00a0 renovaci\u00f3n de obras\u00a0 de importantes \u00a0pintores espa\u00f1oles contribuye a la\u00a0 constante ampliaci\u00f3n de las colecciones en El Museo del Prado.\u00a0 Estas colecciones proporcionan nuevos materiales para los estudiantes de Historia del Arte, los aficionados y para el p\u00fablico en general. Gabriele Finaldi, fue\u00a0\u00a0 conservador de la National Gallery de Londres a cargo de las colecciones \u00a0de Italia y Espa\u00f1a antes de ser\u00a0\u00a0 nombrado\u00a0 Director adjunto de Conservaci\u00f3n del Museo del Prado. Finaldi\u00a0 ha publicado los siguientes libros: Discovering the Italian Baroque<\/em>, en colaboraci\u00f3n con Michael Kitson (London, 1997); The Image of Christ<\/em>, en colaboraci\u00f3n con\u00a0 Neil MacGregor\u00a0 (Yale University Press, 2000) y El Greco<\/em> (London, 2005).<\/p>\n

The lecture will show how the acquisition of works by major Spanish artists, and particularly revealing cases of restoration contributes to the constant renewal of the Prado\u2019s collections. These collections provide fascinating new material for students of Art History, aficionados, and the general public alike. Dr Finaldi<\/strong> was Curator of later Italian and Spanish Painting at the National Gallery in London before moving to the Prado Museum, and his books include Discovering the Italian Baroque<\/em>, in collaboration with Michael Kitson (London, 1997); The Image of Christ<\/em>, in collaboration with Neil MacGregor and others (Yale University Press, 2000) and El Greco<\/em> (London, 2005)<\/span><\/p>\n
