Aunque muri\u00f3 antes de que gran parte de su obra fuese publicada, sus poemas influyeron notablemente sobre las generaciones posteriores de escritores a lo largo del siglo XX. Sus\u00a0Rimas y Leyendas\u00a0est\u00e1n consideradas entre las mejores piezas de la poes\u00eda en espa\u00f1ol<\/p>\n<p><strong>Derek Flitter<\/strong>, Catedr\u00e1tico de Estudios Hisp\u00e1nicos en la Universidad de Exeter, ha realizado numerosas publicaciones sobre distintos aspectos de la literatura del Romanticismo espa\u00f1ol, la poes\u00eda espa\u00f1ola del siglo XlX y de los inicios del siglo XX. Although he died before the majority of his work was\u00a0published, his poems greatly influenced the following generations\u00a0of writers throughout the twentieth century, and his\u00a0Rimas and Leyendas\u00a0are considered some of the most important work in Spanish poetry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong>Derek Flitter\u00a0<\/strong>is Professor in Hispanic Studies\u00a0at the University of Exeter. He has published widely on various\u00a0aspects of Spanish Romantic literature, and on Spanish poetry of the nineteenth and early twentieth-century.
