Actualmente es profesor de literatura de la Universidad Diego Portales. <em>Bons\u00e1i <\/em>fue galardonada con el Premio de la Cr\u00edtica como la mejor novela chilena de 2006 y convertida en pel\u00edcula con el mismo t\u00edtulo por Cristi\u00e1n Gim\u00e9nez, estrenada en Cannes en la selecci\u00f3n <em>A certain regard<\/em>.
