Ma\u0301s que de una visio\u0301n exhaustiva de la poesi\u0301a espan\u0303ola, se trata de una personali\u0301sima miscela\u0301nea escogida por un poeta no\u00a0espan\u0303ol, publicada fuera de Espan\u0303a y creada principalmente para lectores no espan\u0303oles. Forrest Gander ha elegido un pequen\u0303o grupo de poetas espan\u0303oles emergentes que, inconscientemente, despliegan una multiplicidad de estilos y procedimientos que van ma\u0301s alla\u0301 de los li\u0301mites establecidos por la identificacio\u0301n con una generacio\u0301n y un pai\u0301s. Los poetas incluidos en esta obra son Antonio Gamoneda, Olvido Garci\u0301a Valde\u0301s, Miguel Casado, Marcos Canteli, Sandra Santana, Benito del Pliego, Julia Piera, Ana Gorri\u0301a, Pilar Fraile Amador y Esther Ramo\u0301n.<\/p>\n<p><b>Forrest Gander <\/b>(Barstow, 1956) interesado por la manera en co\u0301mo somos traducidos, su obra <i>Core Samples from the World <\/i>fue finalista del Premio Pulitzer y del National Book Critics Circle Award. Es autor de numerosas publicaciones de poesi\u0301a, novela asi\u0301 como traducciones. Entre sus ma\u0301s recientes antologi\u0301as,<br \/>\nse encuentran <i>Pinholes in the Night: Essential Poems from Latin American <\/i>(seleccionada por Rau\u0301l Zurita) y <i>Panic Cure: Poems from Spain for the 21st Century<\/i>. La poesi\u0301a de Gander ha sido publicada en revistas literarias tanto de Estados Unidos como en el extranjero y ha sido traducida a una docena de idiomas. Sus publicaciones se pueden encontrar en Francia, Me\u0301xico, Chile, Espan\u0303a, Bulgaria, Japo\u0301n, Alemania y Holanda. Es miembro de United States Artists Rockefeller y ha recibido la beca de The National Endowment for the Arts y de las fundaciones Guggenheim, Whiting y Howard.<\/p>\n<p><b>Esther Ramo\u0301n <\/b>(Madrid, 1970) es poeta, cri\u0301tica literaria, profesora de escritura creativa y doctora en Teori\u0301a de la Literatura y Literatura Comparada por la Universidad Auto\u0301noma de Madrid. Ha escrito arti\u0301culos de este\u0301tica y cri\u0301tica literaria para <i>Revista de Libros, Archipie\u0301lago o Cuadernos hispanoamericanos <\/i>y, entre otros, el estudio <i>Geografi\u0301a del fri\u0301o<\/i>, introduccio\u0301n al libro <i>Poemas encadenados de Pedro Casariego Co\u0301rdoba <\/i>(Seix Barral, 2003), autor al que dedico\u0301 su tesis doctoral. Ha publicado los poemarios <i>Tundra <\/i>(Igitur, 2002), <i>Reses <\/i>(Trea, Premio Ojo Cri\u0301tico 2008), <i>Grisu\u0301 <\/i>(Trea, 2010, Sales (Amargord, 2011) y <i>Caza con hurones <\/i>(Icaria, 2013). Es coordinadora de redaccio\u0301n de la revista Minerva, en el Ci\u0301rculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid, y dirige el taller <i>La flecha y lo blanco. Taller de poesi\u0301a y otras artes <\/i>en la Fundacio\u0301n Centro de Poesi\u0301a Jose\u0301 Hierro.<\/p>\n<p><b>Pilar Fraile Amador <\/b>(Salamanca, 1975) es profesora de filosofi\u0301a, adema\u0301s de dedicarse a la labor editorial. Fue Premio de Poesi\u0301a de la Universidad de Zaragoza en 2005. Acce\u0301sit de Poesi\u0301a en el Certamen de Jo\u0301venes Creadores del Ayuntamiento de Madrid en el an\u0303o 2004 y 2005. Ha publicado los libros de poemas <i>La pecera subterra\u0301nea <\/i>(Amargord Ediciones, 2011), <i>El li\u0301mite de la ceniza <\/i>(Prensas Universitarias de Zaragoza, 2006); Y dos plaquettes: <i>Anti\u0301doto <\/i>(La Repu\u0301blica de la imaginacio\u0301n, Ed. Legados, Madrid 2009) y <i>La diseccio\u0301n de los insectos <\/i>(Pa\u0301nica 2, Ed. Delirio, Salamanca, 2006). Poemas suyos han sido publicados en diversas revistas como Hache, Alhucema o las electro\u0301nicas: 7de7, <i>Pata de gallo o La dama duende<\/i>. It is not a comprehensive survey of national poetry, but rather a highly personal miscellany chosen by a non- Spanish poet, published outside of Spain, and created primarily for non- Spanish readers. Forrest Gander has chosen a small group\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000080\">of up-and-coming poets from Spain who unselfconsciously display a multiplicity of stylistic and procedural choices beyond constraints of national and generational identifications. The poets featured in this volume are Antonio Gamoneda, Olvido Garci\u0301a Valde\u0301s, Miguel Casado, Marcos Canteli, Sandra Santana, Benito del Pliego, Julia Piera, Ana Gorri\u0301a, Pilar Fraile Amador, and Esther Ramo\u0301n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"><b>Forrest Gander <\/b>(Barstow, 1956) concerned with the way we are revised and translated in encounters with the foreign, his book <i>Core Samples from the World <\/i>was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award. He is author of numerous other books of poetry, novels and translations. His most recent anthologies are <i>Pinholes in the Night: Essential Poems from Latin American <\/i>(selected by Rau\u0301l Zurita) and <i>Panic Cure: Poems from Spain for the 21st Century. <\/i>Gander\u2019s poems appear in many literary magazines in the U.S. and abroad, and have been translated into a dozen languages. His books in translation are available in France, Mexico, Chile, Spain, Bulgaria, Japan, Germany, and the Netherlands. He is a United States Artists Rockefeller Fellow and has received fellowships from The National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim, Whiting, and Howard Foundations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"><b>Esther Ramo\u0301n <\/b>(Madrid, 1970) is a poet and professor of creative writing and comparative literature at the Autonomous University of Madrid. Her work has been widely anthologized and also published in the volumes, <i>Tundra <\/i>(Montblanc: Ediciones Igitur, 2002), <i>Reses <\/i>(Gijo\u0301n: Ediciones Trea, Critical Eye Award 2008), <i>Grisu\u0301 <\/i>(Ediciones Trea, 2009) and <i>Sales <\/i>(Madrid: Ediciones Amargord, 2011). She is the coordinating editor of the magazine Minerva and she co-directs a Radio Circle poetry program called Definicio\u0301n de savia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"><b>Pilar Fraile Amador <\/b>(Salamanca, 1975) has a PhD in Philosophy from University of Oviedo and a Masters from University of Salamanca. A Professor of philosophy at Ensen\u0303anza Secundaria, she also works as an editor. In 2005, she was awarded the Poetry Prize from the University of Zaragoza. Her publications include <i>El li\u0301mite de la ceniza <\/i>(Zaragoza: Prensas universitarias de Zaragoza), <i>Larva <\/i>(Amphibia Editorial) and <i>La pecera subterra\u0301nea <\/i>(Madrid: Ediciones Amargord). Her work has also been collected in the homage for Jose\u0301 A\u0301ngel Valente, <i>Pa\u0301jaros rai\u0301ces <\/i>(Madrid: Abada Editores), and in the anthology <i>La repu\u0301blica de la imaginacio\u0301n <\/i>(Legados Ediciones).
