{"id":564,"date":"2010-04-09T17:59:22","date_gmt":"2010-04-09T17:59:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/institutocervanteslondon.wordpress.com\/?p=564"},"modified":"2010-04-09T17:59:22","modified_gmt":"2010-04-09T17:59:22","slug":"my-quixote-cats","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.cervantes.es\/londres\/2010\/04\/09\/my-quixote-cats\/","title":{"rendered":"My quixote cats"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/londres.cervantes.es\/imagenes\/Image\/quijote_red.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"160\" height=\"115\" \/>It all started with two kittens and two children.\u00a0 A fluffy kitten was chosen by the boy, and one with a smudge over her eye was chosen by the girl.\u00a0 They were young children so they choose the obvious names.\u00a0 As they grew older a new T.V. series of wild lions was released.\u00a0 The brother and the sister watched this program, not noticing that the cats watched as well.\u00a0 \u201cOooh, I love this program!\u201d purred Fluffy.\u00a0 \u201cSo do I!\u201d Smudge meowed.\u00a0 The screen showed a pride of lions being stalked by vultures.\u00a0 \u201cThe food we find is ours&#8230;.so fly off dragon, or I\u2019ll eat you too!\u201d roared the lion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGosh, our relations are cool!\u201d purred Smudge.<\/p>\n<p>A moth was bashing the window, \u201cSmudge,\u201d Fluffy whispered, \u201cA dragon is outside\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat?\u201d Smudge looked out the window. \u201cNot just one, hundreds of \u2018em.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There were moths spread all across the field.\u00a0 As leaders of their pride, the cats went to fight.\u00a0 When they reached the field the boy and his sister noticed them.\u00a0 They laughed at the cat\u2019s impressive acrobatics, but they didn\u2019t notice.\u00a0 As the cats had finished off the moths, a shriek came from the trees so they went to investigate.\u00a0 When they reached the tree tops a pigeon startled them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Smudge fell out of the tree.\u00a0 \u201cSmudge!\u201d Fluffy wailed, she swiped her paws at the pigeon but she couldn\u2019t hit it.\u00a0 As the bird was about to flap its wings Smudge struck at its back shouting \u201cTake that evil dragon!\u201d\u00a0 The pigeon flew off. \u201cWell done Smudge!\u201d Fluffy yowled.\u00a0 Feeling triumphant, the pair trotted back to the house.<\/p>\n<p>Later that day, another episode appeared. \u201cThe lion pride is starving and must find some food.\u201d said the commentator.\u00a0 The expressions upon the children\u2019s faces were much like the lion cubs. \u201cCome on,\u201d roared the lion \u201clet\u2019s go hunt!\u201d a few minutes later they came back with some meat. \u201cTuck in cubs!\u201d purred the lioness. The cubs ripped the meat to pieces. The children looked like they were going to puke. \u201cFluffy,\u201d said Smudge \u201cI think our pride is hungry, let\u2019s go hunt!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fluffy agreed so the pair went back to the field.\u00a0 It took hours before they came back with something. Unfortunately the cats couldn\u2019t kill it, so they released it in the kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>The next day at breakfast they noticed Smudge staring behind the shelf.\u00a0 The shelf moved, and a bewildered bunny hopped out.\u00a0 \u201cKill it!\u201d hissed smudge.\u00a0 As she was about to strike the children caught the cats and took them outside.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow could you hunt a cute and fluffy bunny? How?\u201d yelled the girl. \u201cCute and fluffy?!\u00a0 It\u2019s a long eared demon which should be eaten!\u201d meowed Fluffy.\u00a0 \u201cAnd\u00a0 the moths, you\u2019ve killed them off too, haven\u2019t you?\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cWhat\u2019s a moth?\u201d, \u201cWe only kill dragons!\u201d pleaded Smudge.\u00a0 \u201cDon\u2019t you ever do that again&#8230;.you hear me? NEVER!\u201d shouted the girl.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe only did it for the pride&#8230;\u201d meowed the cats.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nAlex L.<br \/>\nWinsley C.
