The writers are Kamila Shamsie. Ben Okri, Deborah Levy, Yuri Herrera, Marcos Giralt Torrente, Juan Gabriel V\u00e1squez, Vicente Molina Foix, Soledad Pu\u00e9rtolas, Hisham Matar, Nell Leyshon, Rhidian Brook and Valeria Luiselli, with an introduction by Salman Rushdie.<\/p>\n<p>Visit our Treasures Gallery where\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bl.uk\/events\/treasures-of-the-british-library\">Imagining Don Quixote<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0is on display until 22 May 2016. Hay Festival, AC\/E y el British Council han llevado a cabo un proyecto espec\u00edfico para revisar la influencia que han tenido estos dos genios en la literatura universal. Para ello, se propuso a seis escritores de habla inglesa y a seis de habla hispana que escribieran un texto original e in\u00e9dito, en el que rendieran su particular homenaje literario a Cervantes y Shakespeare. Con el fin de mostrar la repercusi\u00f3n e influencia internacional de estas dos grandes figuras literarias, los escritores de habla inglesa escribieron un texto influenciado por la obra de Cervantes, mientras que los escritores de habla hispana tomaron como base la de Shakespeare.
