Los adolescentes que documentan sus estilismos, rese\u00f1an videojuegos, cantan sus propias canciones y cocinan nuevas recetas en Youtube acaban de hacerle hueco a una nueva tendencia en los canales de video en l\u00ednea: los booktubers<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/em> Aprovechando el creciente tir\u00f3n del consumo de contenido en formato video, las rese\u00f1as en video de obras literarias han ido en auge y, de entre sus cr\u00edticos, a partir de mediados de 2013, se ha escindido un sector hispanohablante de creciente popularidad; el Booktube en espa\u00f1ol<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Booktube en espa\u00f1ol re\u00fane a adolescentes hispanos amantes de la buena lectura y convertidos en prescriptores<\/strong>, que suman cientos de horas de contenido video analizando todo lo relacionado con el mundo de la literatura juvenil, desde el color de la tapa hasta la moraleja, pasando por los matices que caracterizan determinados rasgos de los personajes de una y otra novela.<\/p>\n

Esta tendencia se contrapone a la reciente aseveraci\u00f3n medi\u00e1tica de que un 40% de la sociedad espa\u00f1ola no ha le\u00eddo ni un solo libro en los \u00faltimos 12 meses. La p\u00e1gina de Facebook de \u00abBooktube en espa\u00f1ol\u00bb<\/a>, que suma m\u00e1s de 8500 seguidores\u00a0y actualiza continuamente su cat\u00e1logo de rese\u00f1as, sugiere que el segmento de poblaci\u00f3n de entre 16 y 20 a\u00f1os escapa a tal categorizaci\u00f3n. Lo que parec\u00eda una moda ef\u00edmera se ha ido estableciendo hasta convertirse en una realidad –\u00a0Booktube acaba de confirmar que acudir\u00e1 con\u00a0stand propio a\u00a0la London Book Fair en 2017<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nThe teenagers who review fashion or gaming, sing their own songs and cook up innovative recipes on Youtube have just met a new kid on the block: the booktuber<\/a><\/strong>. Taking advantage of the growing popularity of video content among Internet users, recorded prescriptions of literary works have become a trend and, since 2013, a Spanish version thereof has gained a growing following online. The Booktube in Spanish<\/a> is the meeting point of Hispanic teenagers who love to read and have gone on to become literary critics in their own right<\/strong>. The Booktube in Spanish counts hundreds of hours of video going over everything and anything related to young adult literature: the cover, to the moral, to the nuances that bring to life\u00a0such and such traits of a novel’s characters.<\/p>\n

This trend contradicts a recent report that claims 40% of Spanish population have not read a single book in the past 12 months. Booktube in Spanish’s Facebook page<\/a>, with more than 8500 fans and consistently updated reviews, suggests population aged 16 to 20 may not have been taken into account in such a study. What seemed a short-term blast has settled and gone on to become a fully acknowledged trend – Booktube just confirmed they will be attending the 2017 London Book Fair with a stand of their own<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
