No wonder the crowds at one point began chanting \u201cPiccadilly, Espa\u00f1ol\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The throng in the streets below Eros contained a good many Brits supporting Spain, plus, if the messages on <a title=\"El Pais Copa del Mundo Espa\u00f1a\" href=\"http:\/\/eskup.elpais.com\/*futbolmundo2010\" target=\"_blank\">El Pa\u00eds<\/a> from around the world are anything to go by, plenty of London\u2019s Latin American community as well.<\/p>\n<p>And it\u2019s a pleasure to report that there wasn\u2019t a single hint of trouble \u2013 the occasional encounter with wandering pockets of Dutch fans passed off amiably, and even though vast quantities of alcohol were drunk, there was no sign of drunkenness.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"On top of the world\" href=\"http:\/\/londonspanish.wordpress.com\/2010\/07\/12\/on-top-of-the-world\/\">Read more&#8230; LondonSpanish<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:#ff0000\">The reign of Spain<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, their footballers passed their way to glory.
