Después de vivir en el exilio, Juan, de doce años regresa con su familia al país, donde todavía ocupa el poder el régimen militar que les obligó a huir. Intenta llevar una vida normal, en la que el colegio, las fiestas, las acampadas… El principal apoyo del niño es su querido tío Beto quien, al contrario que su padre, entiende que los ideales y la lucha no están reñidos con las ganas de vivir. El mundo de Juan se transforma cuando se enamora de una compañera de colegio…

Blanquillo es un pescador de treinta años de edad que vive una monótona vida junto a su madre en un pequeño pueblo de la costa de Ecuador. Una mañana, un cargamento de cocaína llega arrastrado por la marea, gracias a la recompensa obtenida, Blanquillo viaja a la ciudad a conocer a su verdadero padre. Este viaje lo emprende junto a Lorna, una guapa mujer colombiana que huye novio delincuente.

Violeta se fue a los cielos narra la fascinante vida de Violeta Parra (1917-67) compositora, escritora de canciones, artista visual, y madre del Nuevo Movimiento de la Canción Chilena. Andrés Wood traza la vida de Parra desde sus humildes comienzos en la Chile más rural hasta convertirse en apasionada icono cultural, siempre preocupada por preservar su cultura tradicional. Banda sonora que utiliza las canciones más influyentes de Parra.

Violeta se fue a los cielos ganó el Premio del Jurado de Sundance Festival 2012.

Violeta Se Fue a los Cielos recounts the fascinating life of Violeta Parra (1917-67), Chilean composer, songwriter, folklorist, visual artist, and mother of the New Chilean Song Movement. Andrés Wood traces Parra’s story from her humble beginnings in rural Chile to her life as a cultural icon passionate about preserving traditional culture. The film features a rich soundtrack of Parra’s influential songs.

Violeta se fue a los cielos won the World Cinema Jury Prize at Sundance in 2012.

Topical heist comedy El Mundo Es Nuestro makes a farce with bite out of Spain’s current financial woes. Dressed as holy week penitents, two working class Sevillanos decide that the only way to escape their crisis-hit city is to rob a bank. When things don’t go to plan, the pair ends up with an oddball group of hostages and an even bigger crisis on their hands.
