\u00a0 \u00a0 La Wellcome Collection<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>ha colgado un banco de im\u00e1genes variadas y singulares del mundo, las Wellcome Images<\/span><\/a><\/span>, para disfrute del p\u00fablico en general. Mediante licencia de Creative Commons, es decir, para uso personal y no comercial, se pueden descargar m\u00e1s de 100.000 ilustraciones en alta resoluci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 Este museo londinense, autodefinido como \u201cel libre destino de los incurablemente curiosos\u201d, cuenta entre sus fondos con obras de arte, fotos de \u00e9poca, ilustraciones religiosas, l\u00e1minas bot\u00e1nicas, m\u00e9dicas,\u2026, adem\u00e1s, se pueden consultar centenares de manuscritos de textos tibetanos. Pero lo que hace realmente interesante a este conjunto pict\u00f3rico, es su colecci\u00f3n de 40 grabados de Goya y la tem\u00e1tica espa\u00f1ola que se puede consultar\/ descargar a trav\u00e9s de su motor de b\u00fasqueda.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 Para realizar estas b\u00fasquedas, descargarse o imprimir estas im\u00e1genes no es necesario darse de alta en la p\u00e1gina web pero si nos interesa alguna o algunas en particular, pueden ser guardadas en una carpeta llamada My Lightboxes, con el fin de hacer una selecci\u00f3n de las mismas.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 Por lo tanto, en Wellcome Images podremos encontar\u00a0una colecci\u00f3n bastante interesante con diferente tem\u00e1tica, que va desde la medicina hasta lo m\u00e1gico, pasando por lo profano o la bioqu\u00edmica. Un museo virtual que quiere satisfacer la creciente demanda en estos campos, que persiguen la b\u00fasqueda del conocimiento a trav\u00e9s de Internet y \u00a0de las webs 2.0, sin necesidad de visitar in situ los museos, siendo cada vez m\u00e1s, los museos que digitalizan sus fondos para que los usuarios tengan f\u00e1cil acceso a ellos. Como es el caso tambi\u00e9n de la Biblioteca Nacional de Espa\u00f1a<\/span><\/a><\/span>, que ha digitalizado parte de estos y que pueden ser consultados a trav\u00e9s de su portal web Biblioteca Digital Hisp\u00e1nica<\/span><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 The Wellcome Collection<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>opened a bank of a varied and unique images of the world, Wellcome Images<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>for the enjoyment of the general public. Using the Creative Common license i.e. for personal and non-commercial use, you can download more than 100,000 high resolution pictures.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 This London museum defines itself as \u201cfree destiny for the incurably curious,\u00bb and counts amongst its collection works of art, vintage photos, religious artwork, botanical & medical prints… hundreds of manuscripts of Tibetan texts also can be found. But what makes this really pictographic set interesting is its Spanish themed collection, including 40 prints by Goya which can be viewed \/ downloaded via their search engine.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0To search, download or print these images, you don\u2019t need to register on the website but if you are interested in one or two in particular, they can be saved in a folder called My Lightboxes , in order to create a selection.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 Therefore, in Wellcome Images you can find an interesting collection with different themes, ranging from medicine to magic, from the profane to biochemistry. A virtual museum that aims to satisfy the growing demand in this area; the pursuit of knowledge through the Internet and web 2.0 without visiting museums in situ means that increasingly museums digitize some of their resources so users can access them easily. As is also the case at the National Library of Spain<\/span><\/span><\/a>, which has digitalized parts of their collection that be seen on their website Digital Library Hispanic<\/span><\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
