El Instituto Cervantes de Manchester acoge desde el 20 de marzo al 8 de mayo una exposici\u00f3n \u00fanica.\u00a0Descubriendo la\u00a0<\/a><\/i>Invisibilidad<\/i><\/a>\u00a0se compone de 22 fotograf\u00edas que muestran las vidas y experiencias de diversos miembros de la comunidad latinoamericana en el Reino Unido. La exposici\u00f3n est\u00e1 teniendo una gran acogida por parte del p\u00fablico, quienes se acercan a descubrir las historias que esconde cada fotograf\u00eda.<\/p>\n El acto de inauguraci\u00f3n se celebr\u00f3 el pasado 20 de marzo, donde asistieron a la presentaci\u00f3n los mismos fot\u00f3grafos, Roxana<\/a> y Pablo Allison<\/a>, as\u00ed como la doctora Cathy Mcilwaine<\/a> de la Queen Mary University of London, cuyo informe\u00a0No Longer Invisible<\/i><\/a>\u00a0ha servido como inspiraci\u00f3n para este proyecto, la doctora Catherine Davies<\/a> de la University of Nottingham y asimismo participaron en el coloquio la doctora Parvathi Kumaraswami<\/a> de la Universidad de Manchester y Laura Carletti<\/a>, quien acudi\u00f3 para presentar la innovadora tecnolog\u00eda NFC, gracias a la cual se pueden escuchar los testimonios de los fotografiados mediante nuestros propios smartphones.<\/p>\n Este pr\u00f3ximo jueves 10 de abril a las 18:30h continuamos con otra conferencia en torno a la exposici\u00f3n. En esta ocasi\u00f3n, Claudio Chipana<\/a>, miembro de LARC (Latin American Recognition Campaign)<\/a> y Maria Canizales Jerez, de Latin Support Group parte de Migrants Supporting Migrants<\/a>, \u00a0compartir\u00e1n con nosotros su punto de vista y conocimientos sobre la materia. La entrada es libre, por lo que est\u00e1is todo el que se quiera acercar esta invitado.<\/p>\n Para m\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n sobre el proyecto Uncovering the Invisible<\/em>: (+)<\/a><\/p>\n The Instituto Cervantes has become home to a unique exhibition, Uncovering the Invisible<\/em><\/span><\/a>, a series of 22 photographs documenting the lives and experiences of members of the Latin American community living here in the UK. Every day visitors come to see the exhibition, and discover the stories behind each photograph.<\/span><\/p>\n We celebrated the opening of the exhibition on the 20th of March, where we were joined by the photographers, Roxana<\/a> and Pablo Allison<\/a> themselves, as well as Professor Cathy Mcilwaine<\/a> from Queen Mary University of London, on whose academic research,\u00a0No Longer Invisible<\/em><\/span><\/a>, the series is based. Professor Catherine Davies<\/a> from the University of Nottingham was also here to discuss about the subject of the identity and recognition of Latin America communities throughout the UK. Professor Parvathi Kumaraswami<\/a> from the University of Manchester and Laura Carletti, from the University of Nottingham, also participated in the talk. Laura Carletti<\/a> also introduced the audience to NFC technology, through which everyone with a smartphone is able to listen to the testimonies of the subjects from the pictures.<\/span><\/p>\n On this Thursday 10th of April at 18:30, Claudio Chipana<\/a>, a member of LARC (Latin American Recognition Campaign)<\/a> and Maria Canizales Jerez, from the Latin Support Group (part of Migrants Supporting Migrants<\/a>), will share their point of view and expertise on the subject.
