El club se reunir\u00e1 mensualmente en un instituto cultural diferente para discutir una novela contempor\u00e1nea del pa\u00eds respectivo.<\/p>\n<p>Instituto Cervantes ha acogido a cinco sesiones exitosas del Club del Libro Europeo y ha tenido varias figuras acad\u00e9micas y leterarias de prestigio como moderadores. Ha sido introductora de los estudios en Ciencias y Tecnolog\u00edas de la Documentaci\u00f3n y profesora en la Escuela de Biblioteconom\u00eda de la Universidad de Barcelona. Sus novelas y colecciones de relatos la han consagrado como una de las m\u00e1s distinguidas narradoras en lengua espa\u00f1ola de los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. Cultiva igualmente el ensayo, la poes\u00eda, el periodismo y el teatro. Con la publicaci\u00f3n de las novelas La intimidad, El pa\u00eds del alma (finalista del Premio Internacional de Novela R\u00f3mulo Gallegos 2001) y Reina de Am\u00e9rica (Premio Ciudad de Barcelona 2002) comienza su proyecci\u00f3n internacional. Grandes profesionales de la traducci\u00f3n literaria han trasladado sus obras al ingl\u00e9s, franc\u00e9s, italiano, h\u00fangaro, rumano, \u00e1rabe, portugu\u00e9s, alem\u00e1n y sueco. La versi\u00f3n inglesa de Reina de Am\u00e9rica (Queen Cocaine) fue nominada al prestigioso Premio Internacional IMPAC 2007. Actualmente reside en Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nuria Amat<\/strong> asistir\u00e1 a la sesi\u00f3n que se celebrar\u00e1 en la <strong>Biblioteca Jorge Luis Borges<\/strong> del Instituto Cervantes de Nueva York.\u00a0El club ser\u00e1 presentado y moderado por <strong>Carmen Delibes<\/strong>, Jefe de Biblioteca y <strong>Richard Heyer<\/strong>, Ayudante de Biblioteca.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">The Austrian, Czech, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish and Spanish cultural institutes in\u00a0New York City\u00a0have joined together to create a European Book Club. The Club will meet monthly in a different cultural institute and discuss a well-known, contemporary novel of the respective country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Instituto Cervantes has played host to five successful sessions of the European Book Club and has had several prestigious academic and literary figures as moderators. With the publication of her novels \u201cLa intimidad\u201d, \u201cEl pa\u00eds del alma\u201d (finalist for the R\u00f3mulo Gallegos International Novel Award 2001) and \u201cReina de Am\u00e9rica\u201d (City of Barcelona Prize 2002) she has achieved international reach. With notable professionals translating her works into English, French, Italian, Hungarian, Romanian, Arabic, Portuguese, German and Swedish. The English version of \u201cReina de Am\u00e9rica\u201d, titled \u201cQueen Cocaine\u201d, was nominated for the prestigious International IMPAC Prize in 2007.
