Woodson, el \u201cAfrican American History Month\u201d tiene lugar\u00a0cada mes de febrero en los Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">El objetivo de la celebraci\u00f3n es poner de relieve la creatividad y la experiencia cultural y pol\u00edtica del pueblo afro-americano.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Aunque las fechas var\u00edan, hay celebraciones parecidas en varios pa\u00edses de Hispanoam\u00e9rica como el\u00a0D\u00eda Nacional del Pueblo Afro-ecuatoriano, \u00a0el D\u00eda de la Cultura Afroperuana o el \u00a0D\u00eda Nacional de la Afrocolombianidad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Aqu\u00ed presentamos <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cervantes.es\/nyork\/files\/2017\/02\/Herencia-AfroAm.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">una selecci\u00f3n de documentos<\/a> de la <a href=\"http:\/\/nyork.cervantes.es\/es\/#\" target=\"_blank\">biblioteca del ICNY<\/a>\u00a0que muestra la gran riqueza y la larga historia de la cultura afro-americana.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Founded in 1926 by the historian Dr. Carter G. Woodson, African American History Month is celebrated every February in the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">His objective was to raise awareness of African American contributions to the history and culture of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Although the dates vary by country, similar celebrations take place in various Latin American countries.
