Como cada a\u00f1o el Instituto Cervantes de Nueva<\/em> York, en colaboraci\u00f3n con The Film Society of Lincoln Center<\/em>, el Ministerio de Cultura de Espa\u00f1a<\/em> (ICAA)\u00a0y\u00a0 el Consulado General de Espa\u00f1a en Nueva York<\/em>, presentar\u00e1n del\u00a09 al 22 de diciembre una muestra de nuevas pel\u00edculas espa\u00f1olas y una retrospectiva del cine de\u00a0 LUIS GARC\u00cdA BERLANGA.<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

December has traditionally been the month of Spanish cinema in NYC with the\u00a0 <\/em>Film Society at Lincoln Center\u00b4s longest running film series: SPANISH CINEMA NOW.<\/span><\/a> First founded in 1992, this year’s edition features 16 new features, a dynamic shorts program, and a 10-film retrospective of Spanish master director <\/em>LUIS GARC\u00cdA BERLANGA.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

But this December filmlovers will enjoy a full celebration of Spanish Cinema in the City with two new programs: THE FORGOTTEN SPANISH NON FICTION AND ITS RENEWAL<\/span><\/a>\u00a0 at the Anthology Film Archives will review four decades of Spanish non fiction cinema to highlight not only the connections between generations, but also the abyss that exists because of the political history of Spain. Isaaki Lacuesta, Jose Luis Guer\u00edn and Jonas Mekas will be some of the guests.\u00a0 (SMOVIES) CONTEMPORARY SPANISH CINEMA<\/span><\/a> is an international conference where filmmakers and scholars will unravel the keys defining the evolution of the Spanish cinema over the past 20 years, and will spot new trends within the international panorama of contemporary cinema.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
