La exposici\u00f3n constituye el sorprendente y singular homenaje del artista contempor\u00e1neo espa\u00f1ol Lluis Vent\u00f3s a una misteriosa obra de un pintor holand\u00e9s del siglo XVII<\/strong>, Torrentius. Con sus pinturas, Lluis Vent\u00f3s<\/strong> establece una conexi\u00f3n que vincula el realismo barroco con la abstracci\u00f3n de las vanguardias del siglo XX. La inspiraci\u00f3n para el trabajo de Vent\u00f3s es \u201cNaturaleza muerta con brida\u201d (1614), una pintura del enigm\u00e1tico artista holand\u00e9s Johannes Simonsz van de Beeck<\/strong> (\u00c1msterdam, 1589-1644), m\u00e1s conocido como Torrentius, que se encuentra en el Rijksmuseum<\/strong> de \u00c1msterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Torrentius abord\u00f3 tem\u00e1ticas provocadoras (incluso obscenas) que le granjearon la enemistad de la Iglesia holandesa y le valieron varios a\u00f1os de c\u00e1rcel, con un periodo intermedio en el que fue recibido y apoyado por el rey Carlos I de Inglaterra. Todas sus obras fueron destruidas a excepci\u00f3n de \u201cNaturaleza muerta con brida\u201d, que se exhibe actualmente en el Rijksmuseum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El misterio en torno a la vida y obra de Torrentius ha servido de atracci\u00f3n para Vent\u00f3s, quien presenta una reinterpretaci\u00f3n de la naturaleza muerta del pintor neerland\u00e9s. Esta nueva interpretaci\u00f3n introduce una cierta esquematizaci\u00f3n, resultado de una abstracci\u00f3n que acerca el tema a nuestro tiempo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La exposici\u00f3n se puede visitar entre el 15 de julio y el 5 de octubre, 2020, en la cuarta planta de OBA (Oosterdok – Amsterdam)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stilleven met breidel. Homage aan Torrentius<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

De tentoonstelling omvat het verbazingwekkende en unieke eerbetoon van de hedendaagse Spaanse kunstenaar Lluis Vent\u00f3s<\/strong> aan een mysterieus werk van een 17e-eeuwse<\/strong> Nederlandse schilder Torrentius. Met zijn schilderijen legt Luis Vent\u00f3s een verband die het barokke realisme koppelt aan de abstractie van de avant-garde van de 20e eeuw. De inspiratie voor het werk van Vent\u00f3s is Stilleven met breidel (1614), een schilderij van de enigmatische Nederlandse kunstenaar Johannes Simonsz van de Beeck<\/strong> (Amsterdam, 1589-1644), beter bekend als Torrentius, dat hangt in het Rijksmuseum <\/strong>in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Torrentius was een schilder die provocerende (zelfs obscene) thema’s behandelde die hem de vijandschap van de Nederlandse kerk opleverde en hem enkele jaren in de gevangenis kostten, met een tussenperiode waarin hij werd opgevangen en gesteund door koning Karel I van Engeland. Al zijn werken werden vernietigd met uitzondering van Stilleven met breidel die momenteel in het Rijksmuseum te zien is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Het mysterie rond het leven en werk van Torrentius bleek grote aantrekkingskracht te hebben op Vent\u00f3s, die een herinterpretatie van het stilleven van de Nederlandse schilder presenteert. Deze nieuwe interpretatie introduceert een zekere schematisering, waarschijnlijk het resultaat van een abstractie die dit thema dichterbij onze tijd brengt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De tentoonstelling is te bezoeken tussen 15 juli en 5 oktober 2020, op de vierde verdieping van de OBA (Oosterdok – Amsterdam)<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still life with a Bridle. Homage to Torrentius<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition constitutes a  surprising and singular homage of the Spanish contemporary artist Lluis Vent\u00f3s to a mysterious work of a Dutch painter of the 17th century<\/strong>, Torrentius. With his paintings, Lluis Vent\u00f3s<\/strong> establishes a connection that links baroque realism with the abstraction of the 20th century avant-garde. The inspiration for Vent\u00f3s’s work is \u201cStill Life with a Bridle\u201d (1614), a painting by the enigmatic Dutch artist Johannes Simonsz van de Beeck <\/strong>(Amsterdam, 1589-1644), better known as Torrentius, which is housed in the Rijksmuseum<\/strong> in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Torrentius tackled provocative (even\nobscene) themes that earned him the hostility of the Dutch Church and also\nseveral years in prison, with an intervening period in which he was received\nand supported by King Charles I of England. All of his works were destroyed\nexcept for \u00abStill Life with a Bridle\u00bb, which is currently on display\nin the Rijksmuseum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mystery surrounding Torrentius’\nlife and work has attracted Vent\u00f3s, who presents a reinterpretation of the\nDutch painter’s still life. This new interpretation introduces a certain\nschematization, the result of an abstraction that brings the subject closer to\nour time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
