Ellen D. Jorgensen, científica y Luis Quevedo, periodista

Ellen Jorgensen, President of Genspace, the first biotech community laboratory, will share with us her point of view and experience of, literally, sharing her science with the public. Jorgensen has a PhD in genetics, teaches biotech and shares her Brooklyn laboratory (with a BSL1, Biological security Level 1) with those citizens that want to get a hands on approach to genetics.
Informatics went from being the hobby of a handful of people to a force that has shaped society like no other before. Can biotech undergo such a transformation?
