El profesor William Egginton en su obra «The Man Who Invented Fiction: How Cervantes Ushered in the Modern World»explora la vida de Cervantes y el mundo en el que vivió, examinando las formas en que su escritura cambió fundamentalmente la literatura y cómo proporcionó una manera única de ver el mundo.
