This edition presents dynamic view of different cultural and artistic trends from Spain touring 18 U.S.cities. In collaboration with some of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the country we have boosted the vitality of the program with current Photography, Architecture, Film, Design, Music, Literature, Performing Arts and Visual Arts.
From the works of masters such as Picasso, Miró and Goya to the contemporary photography of Alberto García-Alix, exhibited for the first time in the States; from the renowned guitarist Paco de Lucía to the best indie bands participating in South by Southwest Festival . Special attention to post-digital contemporary design in Spain. Music is another highlight of this season. The project Flamenco Soul represented with groups and soloists: Vetusta Morla, Guadalupe plata, Raimundo and Diego Amador, Quique González, Bigott, Mujeres, Za!, Furguson or L.A.
Film, ‘Chico and Rita’, by Fernando Trueba, Javier Mariscal and Tono Errando. Fashion and cinema are combined in Desire Unlimited: The Cinema of Pedro Almodóvar, a book that will be presented by designer David Delfín in New York. The showing of Ñew York, brings together the work of Spanish and Latino artists residing in New York. The exhibition BRAVOS, with its cutting edge designers, as well as YAS: Young Architects of Spain
