Zocorro es una chica inocente y muy natural, cualidades ideales para presentarse al prestigioso concurso irlandés La Rosa de Tralee. Pero sus sueños se ven arrastrados por la verde hierba Irlandesa en esta divertidísima comedia presentada en castellano en Dublin.

¿Quién está detrás de esta máscara? Leonor Bethencourt, Zocorro, es una actriz ya habitual en el circuito de la comedia irlandesa desde 2006.

“Zocorro Rose of Tralee”, escrita e interpretada por Leonor Bethencourt, obtuvo un rotundo éxito en el Absolute Dublin Fringe en 2009 y desde entonces ha disfrutado del favor del público en el Smock Alley Theatre en Dublin, The Mill Theatre en Dundrum, The Cat Laughs Fringe en Kilkenny, The Blue Frog Venue en Ennistymon, Draiocht, Linenhall Arts Centre, Riverbank Arts Centre, The Loft Venue en Limerick y en The Siamsa Tire en Tralee.

Ahora Zocorro estrena nuevo espectáculo en el que se transforma en una especie de Marilyn español en el que homenajea a la actriz fallecida en el 50º aniversario de su fallecimiento.

Este monólogo escrito y representado por Leonor Bethencourt se podrá ver en el MILL THEATRE de Dundrum del 24 al 26 de mayo a las 8:15 de la tarde.

Zocorro is a regular in the Irish Stand-Up Comedy Circuit since 2006. “Zocorro Rose of Tralee”, written and performed by Leonor Bethencourt, sold out at the 2009 Absolut Dublin Fringe and has since enjoyed huge success at Smock Alley Theatre, Dublin; The Mill Theatre, Dundrum; The Cat Laughs Fringe, Kilkenny; The Blue Frog Venue, Ennistymon, Draiocht, Linenhall Arts Centre, Riverbank Arts Centre, The Loft Venue in Limerick and The Siamsa Tire, Tralee where the real Roses and their families howled with delight at this keen satire; part of the official programme of events of the 2010 Rose of Tralee International Festival.

Now Zocorro presents a brand new comedy putting a unique twist on Marilyn Monroe in this new one-woman comedy show, as 2012 marks the 50th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s death in 1962.

Written and performed by Leonor Bethencourt, Zocorro brand new show preview will be from 24th to 26th of May at The Mill Theatre in Dundrum, 8:15pm.
