Barnes & Noble, the most important bookseller in the world, has opened the virtual doors to NOOKbooks, the first ever Spanish language digital bookstore in the U.S.

It includes classics, bestsellers, new releases and translated works. It has 1/3 of the top-selling trade Spanish language titles. The access to some of the books is free.

The only thing that customers need is one of the platforms which are necessary to read the books: NOOK color, NOOK 3G and NOOK Wi-Fi, and the company’s free software available for iPad(TM), iPhone(R), iPod touch(R), Android(TM), BlackBerry(R), PC, and Mac(R).

Barnes & Noble makes sure that all the contents are available and protected.
