El mes pasado recibimos la visita de Antonio Álvarez Cañibano, Director del Centro de Documentación de Musica y Danza del INAEM- Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte de España- y de María José González Rigot.

Desde aquí deseamos agradecerles la importante donación que hicieron a nuestra biblioteca, todos los títulos ya están disponibles para que nuestros usuarios puedan consultarlos. Gracias!

El pasado 29 de mayo celebramos la XXIV Edición del Simposio de Literatura infantil y juvenil con el escritor Diego Arboleda y el diseñador gráfico e ilustrador José Fragoso.

Diego Arboleda nos dio en su primera conferencia, titulada La aventura de escribir para niños, las claves de un aparentemente caótico proceso de elaboración de sus obras y la construcción de su particular universo creativo; y en una segunda, titulada Ficción y fascinación habló de los encuentros y desencuentros con la literatura infantil en escuelas, bibliotecas y librerías. Por su parte, José Fragoso nos explicó en su conferencia, titulada Mr Glue Stories, despertando el entusiasmo por la lectura, cómo se creó y cómo funciona esta nueva aplicación que promueve la lectura y la creatividad.

Ya podéis consultar la obra de Diego Arboleda en la biblioteca Jorge Luis Borges y queremos agradecer a la editorial Anaya su generosa donación.

On May 29^th we celebrated the XXIV Symposium on Children’s literature with the writer Diego Arboleda and graphic designer and illustrator José Fragoso.

Diego Arboleda gave his first lecture, entitled The adventure of writing for children, the keys of the seemingly chaotic process of drafting his works and building his particular creative universe; and a second, entitled Fiction and fascination, spoke of his encounters and clashes with children’s literature in schools, libraries and bookstores. José Fragoso explained in his lecture, entitled Mr Glue Stories, about awakening enthusiasm for reading, how his work was created and how his new application, which promotes reading and creativity, works.

Una palabra es polisémica si tiene varios significados pero un único significante. En español ocurre a menudo que se utiliza la misma palabra dos veces en la misma oración, dando lugar a frases bastante curiosas que pueden llamar la atención del estudiante de español. Polysemy is the existence of several meanings in a single word. In Spanish happens that the same word is used twice in the same sentence, leading to rather funny phrases that can be somewhat confusing for the student of Spanish. Here are some examples. Noticias de la Red de Bibliotecas del Instituto Cervantes:

Encuentro de los Reyes de España con 17 hispanistas franceses en el marco de la gran Biblioteca del Instituto Cervantes de París. Se trata de una de las principales bibliotecas de la red, cuenta con 66.000 documentos y fue fundada en 1952.
