The Instituto Cervantes offers comprehensive Spanish language courses aimed at developing students’ ability to understand, speak, read and write in Spanish. All our teachers, whose mother tongue is Spanish, are university qualified and use the most up-to-date teaching methods. Our special courses are taught by experts in their fields.

The Instituto Cervantes’ general Spanish language courses are divided into five levels, according to the Common European Framework: Beginners, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Advanced and Higher. Spanish language courses last from one week to several months, depending on students’ needs. You can choose from intensive Spanish courses lasting two weeks, crash courses of one week, or have your Spanish lessons once or twice a week. Our Spanish classes can be taken during the daytime, evening or on Saturdays. The Instituto Cervantes can also arrange private tuition and in-house corporate training schemes for businesses that require Spanish-speaking staff.

La crisis gramatical que nos acecha se manifiesta como un quebranto tangible e inducido de la facultad de empalabrar la realidad, y aqueja a la mayor parte de la ciudadanía y de quienes la instruyen, informan y ordenan./Economists, Politicians and journalists have hatched a neo language, like in the book by Orwell, which reduce the multi-faceted and complexity of the world to a technocratic and unintelligible jargon. The present grammatical crisis that  is taking place, shows itself like an inducted and  tangible damage to the way words are use to tell reality and make up for  part of the jargon of the people who are  teaching it and publicising it.

La Subfacultad de Español de la Universidad de Oxford organiza un coloquio dedicado al bicentenario de la promulgación de la Constitución de Cádiz de 1812, junto con una exposición sobre el tema. Pronunciarán comunicaciones sobre distintos aspectos de la Constitución los destacados expertos Dra. Frances Lannon, Sr.Martin Murphy y Profesor Sir John Elliott/ The Sub-Faculty of Spanish (University of Oxford) commemorates the Bicentenary through a Colloquium in which the distinguished experts Dr Frances Lannon, Mr Martin Murphy, and Professor Sir John Elliott will speak about different aspects of the Constitution of Cadiz.

Música y músicos españoles se presentan en un ciclo de conciertos de mediodía en el Foundling Museum. Ahora, en su séptima temporada, el “Ciclo de Conciertos de Jóvenes Intérpretes de la New London Orchestra”, da cabida a algunas de las jóvenes promesas de la música clásica española que residen en el Reino Unido. Los conciertos tendrán lugar a la 1 de la tarde el primer jueves de cada mes/ Spanish music and musicians feature in a series of lunchtime recitals to take
place at the Foundling Museum. Now in its 7th year at the Foundling Museum, the New London Orchestra´s Young Performers Concert Series´ showcases some of the UK´s most promising young Spanish classical recitalists. Recitals take place at 1pm in the first Thursday of every month.
