Día del libro / Wereldboekendag 2021
En el Día Internacional del Libro 2021 nos vamos a centrar en la figura de Antonio Machado, uno de los poetas más importantes e influyentes de España. Para ello hemos preparado un programa especial con la colaboración de la Fundación Antonio Machado y con Summer Films.
El 23 de abril a las 16:00 comenzaremos con una actividad infantil titulada “El sol es un globo rojo”. A las 17:30 disfrutaremos de un interesante y enriquecedor coloquio sobre el poeta, y a las 20:00 podremos ver un bellísimo documental sobre la historia y vigencia de la obra de Machado.
Sin embargo, que dediquemos el Día Internacional del Libro al poeta sevillano no significa que nos hayamos olvidado del escritor que da nombre a nuestra institución. Para celebrar a Cervantes y al Quijote, este año hemos decidido mirar hacia atrás. ¿Cómo se celebraba la figura del Quijote en 1905? ¿A quién se le ocurrió la idea de celebrar el aniversario de la publicación de un libro por primera vez? ¿Por qué celebramos el Día del libro el 23 de abril?

Dit jaar op Wereldboekendag 2021 staat de figuur Antonio Machado centraal, één van Spanje’s belangrijkste en meest invloedrijke dichters. We hebben daarvoor een speciaal programma samengesteld in samenwerking met de Fundación Antonio Machado en Summer Films.
Op 23 april starten we om 16:00 uur met een kinderactiviteit getiteld “De zon is een rode ballon”. Om 17:30 uur kunnen we genieten van een boeiend en informatief gesprek over de dichter, en om 20:00 uur begint een prachtige documentaire over de geschiedenis en de universele waarde van het werk van Machado.
Alhoewel Wereldboekendag is gewijd aan Antonio Machado, betekent dit niet dat we voorbij gaan aan de schrijver die ons instituut zijn naam gaf. Om Cervantes en Don Quichot te eren, hebben we besloten dit jaar terug te kijken: Op welke manier werd Don Quichot herdacht in 1905? Wie kwam voor het eerst op het idee om de herdenkingsdag van de publicatie van een boek te vieren? Waarom vieren we de Dag van het Boek op 23 april?

This year, on International Book Day 2021, we are going to focus on the figure of Antonio Machado, one of Spain’s most important and influential poets. To do so, we have prepared a special programme in collaboration with the Antonio Machado Foundation and with Summer Films.
We will start at 4 pm on 23rd April with a children’s activity called «The sun is a red balloon». At 5:30 pm we will enjoy an interesting and informative conversation about the poet and at 8 pm we will be able to watch a beautiful documentary about the history and current relevance of Machado’s work.
However, the fact that we are dedicating International Book Day to Antonio Machado does not mean that we have forgotten the writer after whom our institution is named. To celebrate Cervantes and Don Quixote, this year we have decided to look back in time: how was Don Quixote honoured in 1905? Who came up with the idea of celebrating the anniversary of the publication of a book for the first time? Why do we celebrate Book Day on 23rd April?

Mujeres y el flamenco en el S.XIX
Este año, el Instituto Cervantes de Utrecht celebra el Día Internacional de la Mujer (8 de marzo) centrándose en la enriquecedora pero complicada relación entre las mujeres y la música. Para ello hemos organizado cuatro actos diferentes y los dos primeros se harán públicos el mismo 8 de marzo. En primer lugar, una mesa redonda sobre las mujeres y la música, su papel, sus legados y sus retos futuros, con la colaboración de EUNIC NL. Ese día también podremos disfrutar de un programa musical protagonizado por mujeres de toda Europa que interpretarán piezas compuestas en su mayoría por mujeres.
Además, la pianista española Lara M. Taboada ha coordinado un ciclo de conciertos llamado «Polygnota: ayer musa, hoy compositora». Desde enero hasta mayo, el Instituto ofrece un concierto mensual retransmitido en directo, que intenta rescatar la obra de mujeres compositoras como Clara Schumann o Nadia y Lili Boulanger. Todas las actuaciones estarán disponibles en nuestro canal de YouTube.
Aparte de estas actividades, hemos investigado un poco sobre cómo las mujeres españolas interpretaban y utilizaban la música popular como acto de resistencia antes de que se les permitiera acceder a los conservatorios y profesionalizar su talento. ¿Cuál era la relación entre las mujeres y el flamenco a finales del siglo XIX y antes de la Guerra Civil? ¿Y qué significó el cuplé –un género musical rompedor y descaradamente femenino– para la liberación de la mujer en España?

Dit jaar viert het Instituto Cervantes Internationale Vrouwendag (8 maart) door aandacht te schenken aan de verrijkende maar tegelijkertijd moeizame verhouding tussen vrouwen en de muziek. Ter gelegenheid hiervan hebben we vier verschillende activiteiten georganiseerd, waarvan de eerste twee plaats zullen vinden op 8 maart zelf.
De eerste is een rondetafelgesprek over vrouwen en muziek, hun rol, hun erfenis en hun uitdagingen voor de toekomst, in samenwerking met EUNIC NL. Op deze dag kunnen we bovendien genieten van een muzikaal programma door vrouwelijke musici vanuit heel Europa die werken uitvoeren van grotendeels vrouwelijke componisten.
Daarnaast heeft de Spaanse pianiste Lara M. Taboada een concertreeks samengesteld getiteld «Polygnota: gisteren muze, vandaag componist». Van januari tot en met mei organiseert het Instituto Cervantes maandelijks een concert via livestream, dat het werk van vrouwelijke componisten als Clara Schumann of Nadia en Lily Boulanger van de vergetelheid wil redden. Naast deze activiteiten hebben we onderzoek gedaan naar de manier waarop Spaanse vrouwen de populaire muziek vertolkten en gebruikten als teken van verzet, voordat zij uiteindelijk werden toegelaten tot de conservatoria en hun talent konden professionaliseren. Welke relatie hadden vrouwen met de flamenco aan het einde van de 19e eeuw en vóór de Burgeroorlog? En wat betekende de cuplé (populair en pikant theaterlied) – een muzikaal genre dat roldoorbrekend en ongegeneerd vrouwelijk was – voor de bevrijding van de vrouw in Spanje?

This year, the Instituto Cervantes is celebrating International Women’s Day (8th March) focusing on the enriching but complicated relationship between women and music. That is why we have organized four different events. The first two will take place on the 8th of March. Firstly, we will have a round table on women and music, their role, their legacies and their future challenges, with the collaboration of EUNIC NL. That day we will also be able to enjoy a musical programme performed by women from all across Europe who will perform pieces mostly composed by women.
Moreover, the Spanish pianist Lara M. Taboada has coordinated a concert series called “Polygnota: ayer musa, hoy compositora”. From January until May, the Institute offers a monthly concert in which we try to rescue the work of women composers such as Clara Schumann or Nadia and Lili Boulanger. On top of that, we have also done a bit of research on how Spanish women performed and used folk music as an act of resistance before they were allowed to access the conservatories and professionalize their talent. El Instituto Cervantes de Utrecht (Países Bajos) busca un ayudante de biblioteca para llevar a cabo procesos de catalogación, además de otras tareas relacionadas.
El contrato remunerado y a tiempo completo tendrá una duración determinada: de 1 de abril al 16 de julio.

2. Catalogación y mantenimiento del catálogo.
3. Apoyo en la creación de proyectos relacionados con la promoción bibliotecaria.

5. Difusión de las colecciones y servicios de la biblioteca.

1. Formación en Biblioteconomía y Documentación.
2. Experiencia en gestión de servicios bibliotecarios y de información.
3. Conocimiento demostrable del programa de gestión bibliotecaria Absysnet.
4. Dominio del español.

1. Experiencia en gestión de colecciones especializadas en Lingüísticas aplicada (enseñanza y aprendizaje de segundas lenguas).

Reanudación del servicio de préstamo y reserva de libros electrónicos de la biblioteca electrónica del Instituto Cervantes
El servicio de préstamo y reserva de libros electrónicos de la biblioteca electrónica del Instituto Cervantes se ha reanudado con una nueva plataforma.
Como parte del proceso de innovación tecnológica del Instituto Cervantes, hemos llevado a cabo la migración del servicio de préstamo de libros electrónicos a una nueva plataforma digital que supone una notable mejora y nuevas funcionalidades en los servicios para los usuarios de la biblioteca electrónica del Instituto Cervantes.
Con el objetivo de prestar el mejor servicio se ha prorrogado dos meses la validez de los carnets de la biblioteca electrónica a todos los usuarios de manera gratuita y se ha prorrogado hasta el 16 de marzo el plazo de entrega de los libros prestados. Desde el sistema de gestión bibliotecaria los socios recibirán una notificación con la nueva fecha de caducidad de su carnet.
Los socios están recibiendo información detallada sobre algunos cambios en el software instalado en sus dispositivos, pues deberán desinstalar la anterior versión de aplicación Libros-e (ya sea de Google Play o de Apple Store) de su dispositivo e instalar la aplicación de la nueva plataforma. Y, también, en el caso de no tener instalado en su dispositivo el programa Adobe Digital Editions, deberán crear un nuevo ID.
Informamos, asimismo, de que la disponibilidad de los 14.000 títulos que conforman el catálogo de nuestra biblioteca electrónica se está realizando de manera paulatina, por lo que si algún título no se encuentra disponible, rogamos que se espere unos días, y se vuelva a consultar dicho catálogo.
Los demás servicios de la biblioteca electrónica se mantienen sin cambios, como el del Club virtual de lectura, que, como estaba previsto, se dedicará en el mes de abril a la obra del reciente premio Cervantes 2020, el poeta Francisco Brines.
Agradecemos la fidelidad y comprensión de todos los socios de la biblioteca electrónica del Instituto Cervantes y seguimos a su disposición en nuestro centro de atención al usuario para cualquier consulta o información adicional..

Hervatting van het online lenen en reserveren van digitale boeken van de online bibliotheek van het Instituto Cervantes
Het is weer mogelijk om digitale boeken van de online bibliotheek van Instituto Cervantes te lenen en te reserveren via een nieuw digitaal platform.
De overschakeling van de service voor het lenen en reserveren van digitale boeken naar een nieuw digitaal platform, als onderdeel van het proces van technologische innovatie van het Instituto Cervantes, is inmiddels afgerond. Niet alleen zijn hierdoor de leenfaciliteiten verbeterd voor de gebruikers van de online bibliotheek, maar kunnen zij tevens gebruik maken van nieuwe functionaliteiten.
Om u optimale service te verlenen, is de geldigheidsduur van de bibliotheekpassen van de digitale bibliotheek voor alle gebruikers gratis met 2 maanden verlengd en is de leentermijn van geleende boeken verlengd tot 16 maart. Vanuit het bibliotheeksysteem zullen alle gebruikers een bericht ontvangen met de nieuwe uiterste geldigheidsdatum van hun lenerspas.
Gebruikers ontvangen tevens gedetailleerde informatie over enkele wijzigingen in de geïnstalleerde software op hun apparaat. Zij dienen de eerder versie van de applicatie E-books (hetzij van Google Play hetzij van Apple Store) van hun apparaat te verwijderen en de applicatie van het nieuwe digitale platform te installeren. In het geval dat er geen Adobe Digital Edition is geïnstalleerd op het apparaat, dient men een nieuwe ID aan te maken.
Bovendien wijzen wij erop dat de 14.000 titels die deel uitmaken van de catalogus van onze online bibliotheek stapsgewijs weer beschikbaar komen. Mocht een bepaalde titel nog niet beschikbaar zijn, dan verzoeken wij u enkele dagen te wachten en vervolgens opnieuw de catalogus te raadplegen.
Andere diensten van onze digitale bibliotheek, zoals de Virtuele Leesclub, zijn ongewijzigd. De Leesclub zal haar programma in de maand april vervolgen met het boek dat onlangs de Cervantes 2020 prijs ontving, geschreven door de dichter Fransciso Brines.

Día Internacional de la Mujer – 8 de marzo 2021
Hace ya cuatro años el Instituto Cervantes de los Países Bajos se fijó el objetivo de asignar un tema anual a la conmemoración del Día Internacional de la Mujer para, de esa forma, centrar el debate y hacerlo más eficaz.
En 2018 hablamos de Mujer y Libros; en 2019 de Mujer y Arte; en 2020 de Mujer y Ciencia, y este año 2021 lo dedicamos a Mujer y Música con un programa muy elaborado que tiene diversas ramificaciones.
En un proyecto esencialmente colaborativo, en el que hemos trabajado junto a EUNIC NL, la Embajada de España en La Haya, la representación de la Comisión Europea en los Países Bajos y la OBA (Biblioteca Pública de Ámsterdam), hemos obtenido también participaciones específicas de varias de los institutos y embajadas integrantes de nuestro clúster europeo.
Estas son las diferentes actividades que conforman el programa común:
1. Polygnota de Tebas: ayer musa, hoy compositora
Ciclo de cinco conciertos que se retransmiten en directo desde el Auditorio del Instituto Cervantes de Utrecht y que pretende poner en valor el trabajo de mujeres compositoras más o menos silenciadas por la historia. Coordinado por la pianista Lara Martínez Taboada, la serie ofrece un escenario para mostrar su trabajo a jóvenes de varias nacionalidades que actualmente estudian en los Países Bajos. Más información
2. Mesa redonda
Se celebrará en el teatro de la OBA/Ámsterdam y contará con la participación de siete ponentes (4 presencialmente, 3 desde diferentes países de Europa) para hablar sobre temas que hoy preocupan en el ámbito de las mujeres y el mundo de la música. Más información.
3. Actuaciones musicales
Patrocinados por diferentes socios de EUNIC NL, ofrecemos siete actuaciones musicales que se han grabado en diferentes ciudades especialmente para esta ocasión. El nexo común es que los protagonistas de cada actuación son intérpretes y/o compositoras mujeres. Más información.
4. Exposición virtual: Marsch der Frauen
Titulada “The March of the women”, la muestra virtual está producida por EntArteOpera y llega desde Viena a través de la Embajada de Austria en La Haya y presenta perfiles de docenas de mujeres compositoras europeas marginadas que trabajaron entre 1850 y 1980. Más información.

Vier jaar geleden stelde het Instituto Cervantes in Nederland zich ten doel de viering van Internationale Vrouwendag elk jaar een thema te geven om zo het debat meer aandacht en daadkracht te geven.
In 2018 was het centrale thema Vrouwen en Boeken; in 2019 Vrouwen en Kunst; in 2020 Vrouwen en Wetenschap, en dit jaar hebben we het over Vrouwen en Muziek met een zeer uitgebreid programma met uiteenlopende activiteiten.
Aan het gezamenlijke sproject, waarin we hebben samengewerkt met EUNIC NL, de Ambassade van Spanje in Den Haag, de vertegenwoordiging van de Europese Commissie in Nederland en de OBA (Openbare Bibliotheek van Amsterdam), hebben ook een aantal instituten en ambassades die lid zijn van onze Europese cluster deelgenomen.
Het gemeenschappelijke programma bestaat uit de volgende activiteiten:
1. Polygnota van Thebe: gisteren muze, vandaag componist
Reeks van vijf concerten die live worden uitgezonden vanuit het auditorium van het Instituto Cervantes in Utrecht en die tot doel heeft het werk van vrouwelijke componisten die door de geschiedenis min of meer het zwijgen zijn opgelegd, in de schijnwerpers te zetten. Gecoördineerd door pianiste Lara Martínez Taboada, biedt de serie een podium om hun werk te laten zien aan jongeren van verschillende nationaliteiten die momenteel in Nederland studeren. 2. Rondetafelgesprek
Het gesprek vindt plaats in het OBA / Amsterdam theater met zeven sprekers (vier persoonlijk aanwezig, drie vanuit verschillende Europese landen) die zullen praten over kwesties die vandaag de dag zorgen baren op het gebied van vrouwen en de muziekwereld. Meer informatie
3. Muzikale uitvoeringen
Gesponsord door verschillende EUNIC NL partners, bieden wij zeven muzikale optredens aan die speciaal voor deze gelegenheid in verschillende steden zijn opgenomen. De voorstellingen hebben een ding gemeen: de hoofdrolspelers zijn vrouwelijke artiesten en / of componisten. Meer informatie.
4. Virtuele tentoonstelling: Marsch der Frauen
De virtuele tentoonstelling, getiteld «The March of the Women», wordt geproduceerd door EntArteOpera en komt vanuit Wenen via de Oostenrijkse ambassade in Nederland en presenteert de profielen van tientallen gemarginaliseerde Europese vrouwelijke componisten die werkten tussen 1850 en 1980. International Women’s Day 2021. March 8, 2021
Four years ago the Instituto Cervantes in the Netherlands set itself the goal of assigning an annual theme to the commemoration of International Women’s Day in order to focus the debate and make it more effective.
In 2018 we talked about Women and Books; in 2019 about Women and Art; in 2020 about Women and Science; and this year, 2021, we are dedicating it to Women and Music, with a very elaborate programme that has several ramifications.
In an essentially collaborative project, in which we have worked together with EUNIC NL, the Spanish Embassy in The Hague, the representation of the European Commission in the Netherlands and the OBA (Amsterdam Public Library), we have also been lucky enough to receive specific contributions from several of the institutes and embassies that are members of our cluster.
Four different sets of activities make up our 2022 programme:
1. Polygnota of Thebes: yesterday muse, today composer
A series of five concerts broadcast live from the Auditorium of the Institute in Utrecht, which aims to highlight the work of women composers who have been more or less silenced by history. Coordinated by pianist Lara Martínez Taboada, the series offers a stage to showcase their work to young conservatory students of different nationalities currently studying in the Netherlands. 2. Round Table
It will be held in the theatre of the OBA/Amsterdam and will bring together seven speakers (4 in person, 3 connecting online from different European countries) to talk about current issues of concern in the field of women and the world of music. More information
3. Musical program
Sponsored by different partners of EUNIC NL, we offer seven musical videos that have been recorded in different European cities and especially for this occasion. The common link is that the protagonists of each performance are female performers and/or composers. More information
4. Virtual exhibition: Marsch der Frauen
